  1. Tommo on Soccer Saturday.
  2. Not sure why you would be outraged by what is a pretty poor attempt at a wind up. Just another idiot starved of attention who seeks it by trying to antagonise strangers on the internet.
  3. My team FWIW Stek Cedric - Fonte - Caulker - Yoshi Wanyama - Romeu Mané - Juanmi - Tadic Pelle
  4. Alex Morgan CDAJFU.
  5. Mitrovic s/o after 16 minutes. A bit hard according to Jeff Stelling but it makes up for the red he should have had against us.
  6. 10 years ago today we drew 1-1 at Coventry under Harry Redknapp on a Monday night. Jamie Stowcroft (6) and Ricardo Fuller (12) with the goals. Niemi Hajto - Powell - Lundekvam - Higgy Prutton - Quashie - Oakley - Belmadi Ormerod - Fuller It was the first of 8 consecutive league draws.
  7. I would say that's fair enough as he has been capped by Spain. I'd be surprised if Spain have capped a player worse than J Rod is at the moment.
  8. Walcott and AOC both starting in the early kick off at SJP. Chambers has been dropped, unsurprisingly.
  9. I disagree. People always say, "lets play the kids, they can't be worse than the senior players," then when they play they get slated. JWP and Targett are prime example of that, widely criticized so far this season but both considered brighter prospects so far by the coaches and management. It's the same with Reed, who seems to be the answer to our problems according to some people, when in fact he is very raw and prone to some rash challenges.
  10. Our accamedy is horrendous if we can't just click our fingers and summon a premier League quality RB at a moments notice? You post some utter nonsense. We had Chambers, we sold him for £16m, nothing wrong with that. The only crime is reinvesting the money poorly. Martina... The jury is out.
  11. Dreadful. But then the team that started cost less than we've just sold Morgan for so should we really be that surprised. I was astonished by the team. It's basically 6 defenders hoofing it at 2 strikers with the complete non-entity of JWP and Davis in no man's watching stuff fly over their heads. Not one creative player on the pitch. Mane? Tadic? Juanmi? Soares? I'd have started all 4 of them and at least gone for a badly defended 3-3 instead of that garbage.
  12. Wouldn't work, too many big problems like; 1 - How do you decide who plays in this big league? The same teams every season? If not, surely it's just like the Champs League now. 2 - Away day travel would bankrupt most fans. 3 - The Premier League would lose all interest from major TV companies both here and abroad. Do you think many people in Spain or China would watch a league being fought over by Saints, Stoke and Everton? With no money, the new Euro League would just buy anyone remotely decent from EPL. We'd end up like the SPL or Eredivise.
  13. Pompey at Fratton for me. I know a win is anything but guaranteed given our current form but I'd love a chance to stuff them in their own back yard. Failing that, sh*t team at home as always. If we can get to the SF beating a bunch of L1 and L2 teams then brilliant, the reality is we will go out under performing away to some L1 Northern club on a sh*tty wet Tuesday night in autumn.
  14. Once really, plus a gift from a blind lino in front of the cop.
  15. Farewell tour £££££££ ... Comeback tour ££££££ Me, cynical?!
  16. It's not really a case of having the right to end someone else's life. It's about them choosing to end their own life but requiring medical assistance to do it peacefully and painlessly at the right time. In most cases the decision would have to be made prior to illness, such as with dementia, so that the patient is in a competent frame of mind to make such a decision. You could also have a registration system, like with organ donors, whereby you can register certain people you trust to make a decision to end your life, given undisputed medical advice. For example if you were in a traffic accident and were brain damaged to the point of being beyond any possible recovery. If 2 or 3 neurologists all examined the patient and were unanimously agreed that recovery was medically impossible from such a state, a registered proxy could then make the decision to end your life. Down's syndrome babies are a different issue as they can still have a life. Personally I wouldn't have a problem with them being euthanised so the couple could then try again for a healthy baby. I know many people will find that absolutely abhorrent and I wont argue for a minute that it should be legal.
  17. If ever there was a match to start scoring this is it. Must win game is such a cliché but I'd be pretty hacked if all our efforts from last year came to nothing, at least as far as Europe is concerned. I think we've got enough to just about do it but we need to be a lot braver with the team selection than we were against Watford. I'd be tempted to try something like: Stek Cedric - Fonte - Caulker - Targett Wanyama - Romeu Mané - Juanmi - Tadic Pelle

What do you expect, all 9-3 ever does is start dull pointless threads, devoid of any particular talking point.
  19. I don't get how that's relevant to this. We're talking about patients with terminal diseases consenting to euthanasia. You're talking about a doctor carelessly administering painkillers and killing a patient without consent, although that is coming from a Daily Mail article and they love a good sensational NHS story. As long as you had 2 or 3 separate medical opinions approving euthanasia and the consent of the next of kin, individuals like Dr Barton wont be an issue. The main question is, what gives you the right to tell someone else in chronic pain they aren't allowed to end their suffering?
  20. For the last 3 years, that team pretty much picks itself. Maybe Davis in for Mané for the sake of balance. Maybe Shaw too. I think a Premier League 11 would be more interesting. Niemi Clyne - Svensson - Toby - Bertrand Wanyama - Morgan Lallana - Le Tiss - Pahars Beattie
  21. I'm not sure what you're suggesting but this is a different world from doctors handing out carefree cold and flu meds. No doctor on the planet is going to suggest euthanasia for someone with a curable or even treatable disease. It wont be a case of, you've got lung cancer so lethal injection time. More a case of, 'you've got Altzheimers, would you like to be euthanised when you reach the point of drifting in and out of consciousness and surviving off a drip'.
  22. Please can someone over the age of 8 rename this thread. Sounds like a disappointing result and performance. Pretty glad I couldn't get a ticket now.
  23. Don't be too harsh on Long. He's scored twice already, he's only got 4 more goals to last the entire season.
  24. I think certain media organisations and politicians would still report this as 'a heated debate both sides feel passionately about'.
