That's bullsh*t. Why would we pay £1.5m when he can leave on a free and they'd get about £0.5m in a tribunal?

If you can say one thing from that video, it's the lad can't half shift when he wants to.

WTF? They don't need to, he's out of contract. Maybe they mean we've agreed a compensation package to avoid a tribunal. -

Puncheon has no link with Palace, whereas Butters does. It's not impossible, just less likely. It depends on the player. Butterfield is 32 and has 1 year left on his contract. Maybe he would prefer a 2 year contract and regular football at Palace, rather than being frozen out at Saints and looking for a club in 12 months. -

There's always the chance we could offer them Butters as compensation to stop it going to a tribunal. Would make sense, decent Championship RB who has a good history with Palace. Wouldn't be needed here either. -
I've been abducted and had several probes inserted about my person. Wasn't bad actually.

At this rate, the average name in our squad will be Dan Davies. -
I'd love to be at Pompey's training ground for pre-season training. 13 first team players and they're publicly trying to get rid of all of them, except 2 teenagers in Harris and Webster. Edit: Oh, and a trialist called 'Must-have-a Dumb-Buyer' You couldn't make that up.

I'd have said that was the mark of a good team, rather than just a defensive one. Last season we had a decent defensive midfield with the likes of Cork, Morgan, Dean and Chaplow all working hard and tracking back to protect our defence. We had the second best defence in the League but we were still the top goal scorers because we had a good, well balanced midfield. -

No, Brum got relegated because they couldn't score goals (lowest in the Prem when they went down). Their defence was comfortably midtable. Blackburn had several tallented players, including Dann, but were terribly managed. I'd be very happy if we got him. -
lol Rant over.

Yep. Might as well ask them to find Shergar, Lord Lucan, Iraqi WMDs and the lost city of Atlantis.

I'll take a guess at the squad being: 1. Davis 2. Richardson 3. Buttner 4. Morgan 5. Hooiveld 6. Fonte 7. Lambert 8. Cork 9. Rodriguez 10. Do Prado 11. Sharp 12. Butters 13. Fox 14. Hammond 15. 16. 17. 18. Chaplow 19. Lee 20. Lallana 21. 22. De Ridder 23. 24. Davis 25. That's my rough guess at squad, with numbers. Room for another 6 signings in there, plus there will be a couple of young players like JWP and Shaw with squad numbers.

I was sat in the Itchen North. I remember most of the ground singing, "you don't know what you're doing" when Burley put Hammill on. -

The worst Watford game I saw was the 3-0 defeat at St Mary's under Burley. That was the angriest I've ever been at a football game. It was complete managerial ridiculousness, retardedness if that's even a word. Appartently playing Euell at LM and Jermaine Wright at LB was better than playing Vignal and Skacel. It really was a case of shoving Wright in the team at absolutely ANY cost. JW must have had photos of Whisky George knobbling Leon Crouch's missus or something. We went 3-0 down with about half an hour left and Burley just sat there like a lemon, then in the 88th minute he decides to stick Hammill on to rescue the game for us. Appaling. -

I didn't go, but what about Stockport under Pardew. Probably the worst team Saints have EVER played in a league fixture and they got an injury time penalty to draw 1-1. Think that left us about 12 points from safety and without a win in half a dosen league games. When I saw that result I honnestly thought we could end up in League 2. -

That Leeds game was definitely the coldest I've ever been to. Think it was about -5 most of the day, it my uncle hadn't brought a spare hat, JustMike would have no ears now. I think it was one of the few games to actually go ahead in the FL that day. Remember meeting loads of other fans at Leicester Forest services who were on their way back home because their games had been called off. Had to listen to the Skates beating Liverpool on the Bingo bus on 5live, early kick off. I think the only highlight of that day was leaving the stadium on the bus and a big fat Leeds fan fell flat on his arse on some ice. He looked up to see 4 coached full of Saints fans giving him the sign language. -

Why would they get £2-3m for a player who is out of contract? He will leave for free and Palace will get a small amount of compensation due to his age, usually about £0.5m. We don't need to agree anything with Palace, we can just offer him a contract. -

The first Swindon game can't be the winner, the weather was lovely and it was barely an hour up the road. The performance maybe, but for the overall package I think we're looking a lot further North somewhere and in winter. -

Of the ones I've done: 0-0 With Wycombe in our first L1 season. Just dreadfull, their pitch was basically a sand pit and we never got started. 5-0 Defeat at Hull under Pearson 1-0 Defeats at Swindon BOTH times. I actually went again for a 3rd time last year in the CC. Was determined to break the jynx, we only just did it. 1-0 Defeat at Leeds under Pardew. A moment of genius from Snodgrass punctuated an otherwise soul-destroying match. Was absolutely FREEZING to boot. 2-1 Defeat at Colchester. Another freezing cold none event from Saints. This time in a soulless ground in the arse end of nowhere. The fog was funny for a short period. 2-0 Defeat at Rochdale and the traffic on the M6. Meant to get there 2 hours early for some drinking, barely made it in for KO, whereas the players didn't turn up at all. Had a good sing along to Alanis Morrisette in the traffic though, so not all bad. I want to say the 4-4 draw up at Posh, to throw away a 2 goal lead twice in the same match against our promotion rivals, with an injury time equaliser was just horrific. However, you can't say you didn't get your money's worth in an 8 goal thriller. -
Only by a matter of months and I've hated Cox for as long as I can remember. I swear Radio 1 are hell bent on making young people stupider. Radio 1 weekday line-up: 0630 - 1000 - Nick Grimshaw 1000 - 1300 - Fearn Cotton 1300 - 1600 - Scott Mills 1600 - 1900 - Gregg James The last 2 I can tollerate in small doses but the first 2 are like rubbing your balls with a rusty cheese grater. Then the midday weekend slots are Cox and Vernon Kay... Christ almighty.
-
Can't stand Nick Grimshaw. He's got that very Northern, very thick persona that I already detest in Sarah Cox. The only difference being he's got an irritating campness thrown in for good measure.

Aside from the mind numbing tedium of reading that same Skacel joke on here every week for over 6 years, I've actually been following him on twitter. That bloke can't half wind up the Hibs fans when he wants to, it's a shame he never played Pompey whilst he was here. -
No, he is tedious, boring, obsessive, ignorant and bordering on paranoid schizophrenic. I gave up paying attention to his posts years ago, they're just nonsense. He is our ignore list poster boy.

Don't forget Darren Kenton, he could shift.
