Personally i think Spurs would be much better to extract Shaw from his Man Utd nightmare as i think he's actually a better defender than Rose and 5 years younger.

Would be disappointed to see Long leave. Last season's approach didn't suit him at all and his confidence in front of goal was stripped away but he's still a very useful player imo, who could have an impact this season.

Good news if midfield addition is close. Not sure i see the point in a loan goalkeeper. Are we going to get better than Gazzaniga on loan anyway. Also would be very nice to have some communication regarding Mccarthy. Hope we haven't committed to sell Van Dijk, regardless of whether or not anyone meets our valuation. Yeah for me its more that neither Stephens(just signed a 5 year deal) nor Yoshi would be happy as 4th choice centre back. More likely he's one of the players we're tracking in case van dijk leaves or its the usual paper hot air. Only other scenario is that Yoshida is off and he's coming in as competition with stephens for the 2nd slot

At least recently Mane/Wanyama/Clyne there were real short contractual length reasons to sell. this time is far worse, we've got him on long contract and gone out of our way to complain about their tactics and still folded like a cheap suit.
