  1. Find it very depressing how soft we are. No point in fighting after the game is gone. Jones has a major job to keep this lot in the league.
  2. That touch where he sent the ball 20 yards in front of him was pathetic. Get rid in Jan and get Tella back.
  3. Depressing the lack of effort. You've got one team full of players going to the world cup and you've got us acting as flight attendants.
  4. Would have preferred Maitland Niles at RWB over Elyounessi
  5. I'd argue we're not quite yet at the Sunderland/Stoke point yet. Also hopefully as he's argued he's learned lessons from mistakes of trying to be too ambitious too early there that we will benefit from. Buying sensibly for the short/medium term in January rather than for long-term sell on value was going to be key for any manager that came in. Gotta hope Sports Republic agree.
  6. Comparing to Wigley or gray is stupid, both of them had zero managerial experience.
  7. Ireland didn’t qualify.
  8. Very interesting read. Think our wingers are extremely weak so not overly concerned about that. I would hope he’s wrong about tella as I still think he has would be better than Armstrong as pressing greyhound. Slight concern would be the comment about view of using youth, but then surely Stacey/Justin were 20ish when he had them.
  9. Hopefully the fact we've few walking on eggshells with WC place at stake will mean we can go at them 100%. Bazanu Maitland Niles Lyanco DCC Salisu Perraud JWP Lavia S. Armstrong Adams Aribo
  10. Not had a great season but then neither has Gallagher and Phillips has barely played. So think he' got a right to be slightly annoyed.
  11. Good luck. Hoping they can translate the Luton team mentality to turn us round.
  12. I suppose we won but that was depressing. Selles is clearly not a tactical genius. A lineup involving a cb at lb, a converted winger at rb and Diallo in a 2 where he has repeatedly failed looked to me that it was always going to struggle.
  13. Why are we playing a cb at rib rather than our academy product. Is Ballard injured or has he just been rewarded for doing well last time by not even being involved.
  14. Hope Payne/Ballard get opportunity.
  15. Because it worked out so well last time fans protested a Saints board's first choice. Let SR install the person they think is best for the job.
  16. I can definitely see the attributes Sport Republic like in him, given his success at luton punching above their weight. Think any manager would have been a gamble as they would either be (an existing prem failure(gerrard), a unproven in the UK continental manager (pellegrino etc) or a successful manager in the championship with no prem experience. Let's just hope Ankerson's judgement is much better than our recent history of choices. Hoping he ends up being a Strachanesque manmanagement success story rather than a Luggy disaster.
  17. Doubt there’s anyone we could attract that would unite fanbase in excitement.
  18. In what way was the brentford model about appointing high profile managers. Frank was not that.
  19. Can’t say 3 at the back bothers me. After the last window it is probably our strongest position so if someone can get us playing that effectively unlike Ralph that would be good. Got to stage where style is secondary, so directness doesn’t bother me especially. Untried nature is a concern but most managers are going to be somewhat of a gamble in prem.
  20. Luton striker adebayo?
  21. Personally i take Jones' time at Stoke with a pinch of salt. Like taking Moyes time at Sunderland as evidence of that being his standard. As far as i can see he's done an excellent of getting a team playing greater than the sum of its part, which feels like a big plus. No clue if he's in for job, or if there are better candidates but definitely feel the anyone but Jones' cries are OTT.
  22. There were periods in his reign where i was very excited about what proved to be false dawns that turned into too many horrendous runs. Felt he should have gone at the end of last season. This season he has just seemed lost. He abandoned his pressing style for a horrendous non football, which was the final straw when it came to my wavering on the fence. Hope they haven't left it too late and they have someone lined up.
  23. Personally i’d Argue that stoke are a mess, that continue to suck down managers as Sunderland did for years. Been very impressed with what he has done with limited resources at Luton. Could be a good fit imo.
  24. Apparently the positive of this season was despite playing turgid football we didn't concede many. Cue Newcastle scoring 4 from 4 shots on target. Overall that was horrid. I have no clue what ralph's plan is each week. We certainly have no identity. Brief period at the end of the first half and beginning of the 2nd where our lack of any kind of finisher cost us the chance to equalise. Given how easily they scored their 4 it likely wouldn't have made any difference. No clue what Walcott shows in training(maybe they play table football) because he looks lost on an actual football pitch. I'm utterly fed up of our corner routine. Trot JWp out to swing the ball in. It's so utterly predictable why can't we ocassionally go short. We're not scoring by the let JWP cross it for them to head it clear approach. Equally defensively i hate how we pull everyone back into our own box so evenb if we win the first ball the opposition get a 2nd chance
  25. JWP just awful there. Nice finish by Guimares though
