Also it allows easier shifting of formation/positioon like today.Could see us getting squad depth(guy from luton) but not sure he'd be an automatic starter. Part of me wonder what happens when ABK is back fit. He's probably the best technically but not maybe as versatile as Lyanco/Salisu or as physically imposing as DCC.

One thing i've noticed the last couple of games is player's praising younger players. Wonder if jones has impressed on older players their need to be leaders. Wednesday it was Bazanu getting patted on the head regularly when he did something good. Today Alcaraz got congratulated for putting ball out for a corner.

Don't know how anyone who watched today and Fulham could come away with any other impression than they were broadly similar gutsy performances. Difference was today we conceded 1 sloppy set piece goal rather than 2.

To me that's lazy results based nonsense. We largely matched or even outplayed Fulham away who are 6th in the table. Yes Forest was an utter horror show, but no worse than Villa earlier under the season under ralph.

2 be fair he played Cb all 2nd half with Salisu at LB. I thought he was good against fulham for 80 minutes too. Completely get why Jones' loves him, he helps set the aggressive tone.The big thing is cutting out the major clanger( Head tennis moment fulham, miscontrol forest etc)

We played ok against Fulham(barring 2 set pieces), a team that has beaten Palace, Chelsea & leicester and sit 6th in the table.

I can understand wanting to freshenthings up given they've had a week to prepare whereas we've had 3 days. It's the MOI one in particular i don't get he's got no attributes to play that role and Djenepo came off after an hour anyway so should be fresher than players who played 90 minutes.

Don't see that at all. Lyanco is definitely playing RB. Elyounessi has just been absymal as a right sided forward. Not as if you can point ot stellar work defensively he has done. He's just been a spectator apart from when he's getting owned by Mykalenko.

Frustrating game. Essentially been extremely scrappy. Chances pretty even (us JWP & Salisu) chances, them (goal & bazanu spill) but our weakness from set pieces killing us. Hopefully we get a HT change getting Elyounessi off or moving him into the centre and taking diallo off. A.Armstrong on. I'd love Romeu to be around to clatter Onana who has been excellent for them. Maybe Lyanco can drift in and do it.

Think Adams has been ok its elyounessi who has been the spectator in the front three. Get him off and don't play him as a winger again.

Personally i think if we are going to use Moi it should be centrally instead of Diallo rather than out wide. Would prefer to see someone with pace out there instead.

My first thought when we were being rumoured to appoint him was that he had some similarities to Strachan and that we could really use a new strachan. Remember being distinctly unimpressed at the time that we were after the manager who relegated Coventry but it ended up a masterstroke, so still hoping he will be too.

Real attacking pace is also a major issue.
