The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.
Baird of the land replied to CB Fry's topic in The Lounge
With a normal politician you'd expect him to go(given the scale of the revolt)but with Bojo i expect they'll have to pull him kicking and screaming out of no.10 -
Just tried watching the nations league on this new 'premiersportstv' thing that they've moved the games too. Utterly abominable experience of constant cut outs in the stream.

I don't really see the Guardian's view as particularly balanced. As for social Media i consider it as as a medium to be pretty toxic in regards everything. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/jun/02/the-guardian-view-on-depp-v-heard-an-abusive-spectacle

Bednarek hasn’t fulfilled his promise imo. So if we can get a decent fee and he gets a fresh start it would be ideal.

Scotland were a disorganised mess for large parts of the game. Like kids on the school yard stuff.

The usual spin happening on the guardian opinion when something doesn't play out the way they wanted. It's an orgy of misogny apparently. Very dull and predictable.

Saints finish season with £110m+ 'prize money'
Baird of the land replied to Master Bates's topic in The Saints
Does the facility column come from the number of live games? Is that why Brentford's is higher? -
Zero chance of getting a fee for Theo. At best you are going to get a loan fee for djenepo based on last few years. So You really have to sell at least one of moi or Redmond. Personally i’d sell Moi.
-
He’s exactly the one we should be selling because as well as being average he’s the most sellable.

Russia decisively lost the first phase but seems to be clearly winning the Donbas phase. Wonder where it’ll go from there, some serious attempt at negotiation from both sides or Ukraine trying to get back Donbas.

I’d keep tella for at least another year given the lack of pace in the squad. Made a real impact in Brighton game. Find it odd we don’t use his pace as an impact sub at all but then Ralph attitude to subs baffles me. as for elyounessi. He made a useful contribution this season. Still find him very limited & you think now would be the time to recoup as much as we can for him.

No thanks. Let’s get actual skilled coaches rather than someone because they were once a player for us.

Given his infamous drinking incident at derby Tom Lawrence's song would clearly have a to be chumbawamba's 'tub thumping'

Can’t say I know. I can remember Rodwell signed 1 year deal when he joined Sheffield utd. He must have been that sort of age. If he’s not interested in such a deal(or one that only incentivized a second year on game time) then we should move on to a different target. Really no point in signing cover to a longer term contract when we may only need for 6 maths.
-
Can’t say i’ve Ever rated fredericks particularly highly. A one year deal as cheapish cover I could sort of stomach, given our loss of livramento. My concern would be that he would want a longer deal and our history with the likes of long/Walcott is us ending up giving players longer deals than we should.

Opposite would much prefer dragowski over bazanu.

Good to see signs the new owners aren’t sitting idly by accepting the garbage served up last few months. It’ll be interesting to see how it works and whether Ralph finds a way to thrive through it or if it really diminishes him and leads to his departure.
-
Not jumping up and down in anger or in joy from that keeper link as i know nothing about him. Feels like the right sort of age range to be targetting imo rather than going after a kid, when keepers tend hit peak much later. Could be a sign of our new owners following the brentford model of picking up unheralded gems for little.
-
We aren't going to get tarkowski. Don't see us being willing to pay the money for older players like wieghorst or pope. My guess is McNeill will be priced stupidly. Cornet might be the only one (dependent on what Burnley are seeking) Depending on how much we have to spend I wouldn't be adverse to picking up cork on a free as a stopgap.
-
Don’t really see where he fits unless it’s a we’re selling our captain, here’s another local instead.
-
Really, cmon. Who looks at saints and thinks what this team really needs is a kid in net who hasn’t played above league 1.
-
Major revamp needed - but what are our priorities?
Baird of the land replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
1) GK (Please not a kid) 2) CDM (young replacement for Romeu) 3) Striker 4) If we can move on Bednarek ( then an experienced CB would be great) 5) If we can move on a couple of the 10's (then a young pacy 10 would be great) 6) Some sort of short term cover fullback -
I wanted to see something from Ralph in these two last games. Instead he's pathetically curled the team into a ball. I also think betting on him and going into a new season with a manager with so little in the tank(in terms of fan support) is dangerous.
-
He was excellent against Liverpool and looked good in first half. Was awful for the first goal though. Hopefully a new manager and their coaching staff can get him to channel the good more consistently.
-
I don't see how he can continue. More braindead management again today.
