Rangnick "We have to understand where we are. [Southampton] won 2-3 at Tottenham, and they expected to win easily. We got a point today; we expected three and needed three, but that is the situation. That is why there was a change of manager and why we are here." Lol, I'm guessing he meant Spurs but sounds like he's suggesting Saints expected 3 against United.

Ralph also pointing out he's not good off his line.

Cant see any issue with the ref from a saints perspective. Easily could have given a few saints players bookings later on but we came out without a single one so hard to complain about not giving Man U even more.
-
No i'd move on from him. Giving him a new long term contract would be a mistake. He's going an ok job for now. We're doing our best to play to his strengths and limit exposure of his weaknesses. I'd be happy to replace with Johnstone on a free in the summer as a replacement(who's younger and a stronger allrounder) let alone whoever else we may have scouted.

Think Stephens should play every time we play united. He's mouthy and given they are delicate daisies he's perfect for such games. Great to get a point. Fully deserved. Slight disappointment not to get the 3. Second half we were the better team. Shame armstrong and Broja finishes were lacking. Ralph got his subs perfect today.

Anyone got a decent alternate stream. Hesgoal seemed to be dying

Stephens on to give Fernandes a bit of abuse
-
Found it really annoying despite showing multiple replays that BT Sport commentators failed to even notice Sancho's shot came off KWP.
-
Thought Armstrong had scored with that volley. Overall the score probably a fair reflection. They've looked very dangerous breaking on us. Saints looked ok but not quite as sharp as wednesday. Hopefully Ralph will look to freshen up early in the second half.
-
I'll wait until we actually see the Saints performance before proclaiming anything on that subject.
-
Wouldn’t mind seeing Stephens in for bednarek. He’s was weakest of defenders in midweek and would be good to see Stephens renew his feud with Fernandes.
-
How can anyone have Zouma in but not Greenwood.

There seems to be a 'let's have a fight' spiral happening. Worryingly no one seems to be trying defuse the tension instead its all about macho posturing. Curious if its a post covid thing because we've seen a definite uptick in the likes of football related disturbances etc too.
-
Nice to have this as a bit of a free hit. Was desperate for us to win one of these two (as a real statement result) and we've already done that. Curious to see degree of rotation given the sharp turnaround. Ralph didn't seem too trusting of his bench yesterday and we don't know if any of the missing will be back. Equally in past Armstrong has picked up knocks in (sat/wed/sat) turnarounds. So do you rotate to protect against injuries.

To me you can argue whether Broja backing in was a foul but ref clearly saw player clatter into the back of broja’s head and broja staying down. Atrocious/dangerous of the ref not to immediately stop the game.
-
Conte's comments are a bit daft. As Ralph said once they scored they sat back which i think was a major error.
-
Yep they made me look like an idiot. They can do that all the time if we keep winning.
-
Think he's a player that in a bad team looks worse but now we've got a better team we're able to see the fruits of his positive attributes more.
-
Yeah i assume the club will have all the biometrics on recovery etc to decide it. If someone does drop out i'd expect it to be Perraud as KWP is our top fullback back imo and seems to have a great engine.
-
If Tino's fully fit for the weekend i think there could be an argument that he's fresher than KWP/Perraud but i certainly think they odd situation where Livramento played every minute of first half of season shouldn't re-occur whilst we've got 3 good players.

Fabulous first half by saints. Tore spurs apart just minus a little touch of luck and finishing. Great response to the (feeling of injustice for spurs second. Now Broja may have been backing in slightly(so ref said no foul) but its still a head injury and should have been stopped instantly. Equally glad Spurs rested on their laurels thinking they'd won it because they had all the momentum and all the fresh legs. I still think Diallo could have been on much earlier but they ended up making me look like an idiot for screaming for it from the 60 minute mark onwards.. Capped off my the late accidental offside that saved saints the win when spurs fans and players thought they'd equalised. Adam Armstrong even further in the cold when Walcott is preferred to him as a late harrier.
-
3-2. What do i know!!! I'd still like Diallo for Armstrong who looks shagged.
-
Its weaker but he's still got options.
-
Atrocious decision by the ref/var But sorry they've made 3 changes and we've made none despite them being completely on top. Just suicidal
-
Ralph useless again at using his subs. Momentum clealry changed once spurs made their subs. So ralph decides to do nothing. Just infuriating.
