Typical saints. Good first half performance but Should be at least 2 up but instead leave the door ajar for Brighton.
-
Pretty happy with the lineup. Would have preferred to see Livramento rested for this one but i expect the only way he'll get a break is when he gets injured.
-
The defence have a fair amount of blame for the second but i do not think alex should not have taken that step to the right. If the guy puts it in the other corner fair enough but at least you are forcing him to go for the harder option technically . By opening up the near post it's just making it so much easier for Maddison.

Today he wasn’t great but generally i think he’s been lively and scored a couple of cracking goals. It’s not like i look round and see some alternative gem we missed out on for the money.
-
Today he just seemed to make bad decisions. Maybe feeling the pressure knowing he’ll be dropped but several instances where he selfishly kept the ball when we were on the break and did nothing with it.
-
Unless someone coming out of contract like Johnstone is available relatively cheaply I don’t see the point in spending massively over the odds in January on whoever is available versus doing a proper summer recruitment.
-
Think forster would save the second. I very much agree we need a better keeper than either next season. i’m hoping Those couple of saves (though lyanco bailed him on a somewhat weak parry on the second) give McCarthy some much needed confidence back.

Point was probably fair, given Vardy missed a glorious chance for them. Feels disappointing after being in the lead twice. Also still the after effect of that awful norwich result. Liked seeing tella get minutes, offered something different. Maybe should have reacted immediately to their HT sub and brought Elyounessi in who tucks more. Didn't like seeing Armstrong as a ten even if it was only for 5/6 minutes. Broja probably has to start over him up front at the moment too. Looks a threat, just wish he had a left foot and we might have won from the chance where he tried to drag it all the way round to his right. Mccarthy, well we saw the bad and the good. I think both goals at the very least could have done better from him but that save at 2-2 (from barnes?)was top quality. Livramento to me looks very leggy. Would really like ralph just to give him a breather at weekend. Ndidi could have been sent off imo. Getting no punishment for kicking romwu in the stomach was just bad regardless if the falg was up or not.
-
Surely ndidi should have been booked for kicking Romeu in the stomach regardless of whether the flag was up.
-
If Maddison puts it the top right fair enough but gambling to let him slot easily it at his near post isn't good.
-
To me at the very least he's got to do a better job of smothering the pace off it. It can't come that far out into the middle of the goal(i say that as someone who has been supportive of Mccarthy and doesn't think forster is particularly better(though he may have more confidence currently))
-
I like the fact we've got pace in the 10 position. In the absence of armstrong that's the way forward. Still think we'll need a third to win it. Hopefully we can come out and grab the 2nd half by the scruff of the neck.
-
That was bad by Mccarthy. If his confidence has gone again so he can't deal with simple shots it may be time to bring back Forster.
-
Glad to see Tella starting. Slight surprise to see Bednarek stay in. Hope Livramento can recapture his early season form and makes me eat my wish for him to be given a rest.
-
seems the mid week for brainless defensive handballs in the box. Hopefully saints won't be afflicted tomorrow.
-
That dubravka parry in the lead up to the goal was rather poor but it was some hit from Pukki in the end.
-
Exactly my thoughts watching this game.

Mccarthy KWP Lyanco Salisu Perraud JWP Romue Redmond Tella Adams Broja

Diallo being injured at least explains his odd absence. Still think the 523 formation was barking mad choice regardless of that. Hopefully Ralph can get the wheels back on pronto. Also annoys me tella getting thrown minutes in a game we’re getting thrashed by a top team but Walcott will be saved all the chances against teams where we’ll actually have opportunities to go forward.
-
No clue what Ralph was thinking with that lineup, maybe he just wants another shot at conceding 9.
-
Man U really messed up. Delaying pulling the trigger until after Conte had got a new job.
-
In my opinion Diallo shouldn't have started. We could have started Tella and then had the option of Diallo if we wanted to bolster the midfield later. Instead we played Diallo out of position.
-
Wonder if Romeu had a knock as it was a very odd substitution.
-
We've got to sort these jekyll and hyde performances. There's no point dominating first halves only to go missing in the second, especially as we can score no more than one when dominating. Thought Livramento was poor again. Surely time he was given a rest given we've got perraud. No clue why Ralph has taken a dislike to Tella. He'll probably play him against liverpool where there's little chance of him being allowed the ball in dangerous positions. How walcott keeps getting chances despite being awful is crazy. Hopefully that's a one off by mccarthy. Seemed slow to react to shots. At the very least you'd expect one save of the two, which would at least allow us to crawl home with an embarassing draw.

Mccarthy's been good this season but both today's goals feel very saveable. Also, playing walcott feels like playing with 10 men.
