Saints have been very poor in the second half. I know we have a man less but little composure shown when we have the ball.

Usually there's at least some logic when they get the shape/positions completely wrong.

That is absolutely fabulous by Cambridge. Maybe we should have a look at that Cambridge keeper some of his saves were quality.

Was not a fan of puel’s style. Being boring and average isn’t very desirable as his time at Leicester proved. Our issue was replacing him with someone terrible.

This is not the first time Covid has run rife at Newcastle. Surely league should at least be demanding that they implement tougher protocols or fining them or their lax ones.

Looked at west ham team and saw no Antonio starting and was happy. Then found out saints are missing tella, lyanco and Stephens meaning the very Ropey bednarek and Walcott start and was far less happy

And the answer is of course no he will not.

From a wage perspective Lewis must be on a pittance compared to other first teamers. I'm sure we could have signed caballero instead of him as third choice but it would have cost us much more in wages for a player we didn't expect to ever have to grace the field.

I' was assuming neither of those will be fit given ralph protected Tella/Broja by subbing them Seems like it won't go ahead anyway, which is probably good.

He was playing for us before the Scotland games. Not the first time Scotland have mismanaged him and he’s come back crocked. So I don’t see a conspiracy.

Caballero made some key contributions this evening in getting us a point. At the end of the day we went dirt cheap on our third choice with the reasoning that he would be nothing more than a glorified warm up redundancy. Hence Caballero cameo and hopefully today was last time we'll need to see him.

Thought he was fair. I'd moan about the Tomkins handball (but it probably was accidental) and i liked that he let Salisu off with a yellow for clothlining their guy. Romeu got away without a booking too despite landing a few challenges.

I wouldn't complain too much about that but personally i like the looks of Lyanco/Salisu. Just no Bednarek please. Given ralph's praise of Lyanco it would be odd to drop him. "Lyanco was good, he had a very good game. It was nice to watch the young lads up front. They are brave."

"We had 20 minutes in the second half we were struggling. After the goal we played brave and tried to make the third goal." Ralph's comment just sums it up for me. He knew we were struggling so why not do something then before they equalise, rather than having to react afterwards.

Thought Livramento was pants today. There were any number of options to bring on for Smallbone today. Diallo was crap on Saturday but he has also been very good too on other ocassions..

Forgot they all had a game called off. Would have been vs united too. We've got no luck. There's pierced my optimism bubble pierced. Expect given today's subs we won't have any of the other strikers fit. I'll keep hoping ralph will one day rotate Livramento out for a game. I thought we should have at least taken off Smallbone on the hour mark. Ideally a double change then re-inforcing the right side where they had joy with (diallo & Perraud etc) Don't see why we have to wait for the 70th minute especially as Palace were on top even before they scored and yet they still made a sub.

I feel we are too passive. You knew they would make a change and get a chance to score. Make the first change when we are leading please.

Personally thought we were poor for 20 minutes, much the better side for the last 20 minutes. In the second half we dropped off and didn't have much other than one phenomal tella run until they scored. Then for next 15 we were the better team. Then it got very scrappy.

Nothing came of it because they legged him up.

He was decent. Feel he should have been subbed earlier though.

We're not buying a CH in January in a million years nor likely to sell Bednarek.
