  1. Can he play left back?
  2. Didn't we beat them in the Zenith Data Systems Cup in the early 90s also? Oh... hang on I think I've been whooooshed...
  3. Definitely. That showed last week when he was willing to drop the Trust like a live grenade in favour of Keith Harris who at least pretended to have some money. Birch is probably wondering how on earth he is going to get out of this in one piece.
  4. Notwithstanding any further twists to come today, isn't it the case that right now we're right where we were a couple of days ago except a few things have been made clearer? PST is still the official, only, game in town. Presumably court case must go ahead now to determine valuation of the fatpipes place. We're right where we were EXCEPT for what we now know - the FL will not accept any other bidders, Pompey will be thrown out of the league if they do not exit admin "before the end of the current playing season" and Chainrai seems to have revealed his plans through Harris, and has been told 'no'. So aside from knowing a lot more and seeing who has played what cards, aren't we just exactly where we were earlier in the week with PST trying to scrabble money together and nutjobs asking where the money is going to come from? I'm not sure, it's a genuine question - has anything material really changed now?
  5. Can see this going back to court again since PKF are court-appointed to get best deal for creditors. Chinny will have another say, I'm sure.
  6. Does that mean Ian 'Skate' Darke doing comms?
  7. He's seen Jonno Quick, hasn't he?
  8. Gaston put in a shift, more physical than usual. first half anyway. only other difference appears to be that players are now allowed toilet breaks during the game. never seen punch run so fast
  9. Depends if it includes own goals
  10. Is this another thread about Guly?
  11. i remember when we used to sometimes get a clean sheet
  12. Shaw and maybe Cork apart, we're so poor. Gaston in the middle please. Also Lambert seems to be everywhere except where he should be (ie up front), why is he putting in crosses when there's nobody in the middle. Davis pointless in midfield, may as well have J-Rod in there. Someone asked about statistics when Davis plays.. I was thinking - is it true that we only ever win when Gazza plays in goal? K Davis and Boruc yet to see a win this year? or am i wrong, can't find the stats.
  13. what confuses me is where is Andy Android in all of this? Why Guilfoyle instead of him?
  14. Summary, i think: PKF have requested adjournment. Up to judge to decide (tomorrow 10.30am) whether to give it. Portpin ready to go ahead with case and (it looks like) they will request a nice shiny new administrator (Guilfoyle) instead of PKF. Hence PKF want adjournment.
  15. Guilfoyle/P&A had a pretty good go at killing off Plymouth last year. Maybe they'll be able to succeed in killing a club this time?
  16. Home office in Louisiana with a cricket chirping outside. Got the windows open because it's such a nice day. Tomorrow morning the neighbours will again be confused by listening to "bleddy Gazzaniga, not AGAIN" except for Wendy next door who is originally from Ruislip and understands that football is played with your foot, hence the name.
  17. Take the 12m and send them Danny Fox by 'mistake'.
  18. The Plymouth example last year saw their administrator's take about 40% of what they were owed under pressure from the fans and new owner. So, it does happen.
  19. Seems like no time ago Garry Monk was the perennial captain of our reserves/out on loan because he was never going to be good enough. And yet we're the ones bottom with 28 conceded already. I don't know what point I'm making other than THE WORLD IS MAD. Expect a quiet, professional 1-0 Saints win tomorrow. It's the least likely thing to happen, so it probably will.
  20. Don't like it myself. What's interesting I think is that people are already looking forwarde to or speculating on next year's kit. Didn't see that this time last year. Although we were having other discussions this time last year like "let's tear them a new one" every week
  21. Not entirely sure about this, but I wonder if he is (was) the most natural finisher in the squad. Or at least the best 'poacher'. I'd have liked to have seen him given some kind of chance, even if it was off the bench.
  22. The most telling stat for me is 8 goals conceded in first 3 games. That isn't form to get any points at all this year, let alone the forty we need.
  23. Theo in a weird pre-season game at Eastleigh a few years ago. McCann looked out of his depth, Kenwyne Jones played midfield and this little kid came on right at the end, looked about 12 but faster than anyone else (*even* including Thundering Wayne Shaw in the Eastleigh goal). Who's that? I asked. 'Nathan Dyer' said some fool. We soon found out.
  24. Not Barry The Briefcase, surely?
