what happened to her ?

isn't this one of the reasons we watch them ? bigger games, bigger teams, more exposure, more whatever ? I'm still convinced that from the day Redknapp fielded half a team against united (may have been chelsea) in the cup, and we got stuffed, we went on a downer. All this "concentrate on this rather than that" crap is, literally, crap. FFS

the only saints team that gave me any confidence that they would hang on to anything was under Hoddle (excluding the 7 lucky goals game). he fixed up the defence to such an extent, I can remember us drawing 0 - 0 at home to charlton with zero shots on target by either side (draper clipped the bar). that was a novelty at the time. still is now. Saints and 0 - 0 ? FFS

'The Guide Dog' crowned CAMRA Regional Pub of the Year

One of the reasons why smoking should be compulsory in pubs -
All seemed pretty incompetent to me... E.M. probably best of the bunch. The rest might just make middle-rank management consultants...

Eastleigh's DoF, Dave Malone in tonight's Echo
belgrave replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Are we putting Mr Malone on a pedestal here ? Paul D has probably done more for saints in the longer term (at least he has transparently supported for years) Eastleigh (Swaythling A) are seriously not rivals in any way, shape or form - so not sure why this is being blown up. -
Webb had a shocker. Will be the last big game he gets

LOL... look at the calibre of all of the parties current leadership then think again. Full of mediocre careerists

I don't think going to Oxbridge infers smartness on anybody. Portillo and the Millibands come across as sharp. Abbott does not. The thing that annoys me the most about the majority of our politicians - all parties - is how thick and incompetent they all are (with a few exceptions). The majority remind me of a bunch of middle management Accenture / DC types. Intellectually impressive MP's are becoming thinner and thinner on the ground.

Christ, she's not much of an advert for an oxford education. Regularly run rings around by Portillo on the TV....

classic quote in the Guardian in relation to the PL's comment on the "fit and proper person" test: "Portsmouth have been bought by rich businessmen who then don't seem to have any money. Motive should be the biggest check." very good

Me too - we had - which is kind of unlikely to happen these days, our school leaving do in the nightclub that used to be at the back of the Flemings (Turpins !). God knows how, as they opened the proper bar at 11 and did not eject those of us remaining....

+1 - only laugh out loud poster (aside from whoever did that dragon's den thingy)

(In general situations), to prosecute, the CPS needs to be happy with the evidence presented to it, and whether or to prosecute is in the public interest. If either or both of these criteria are not satisfied, then the case will not proceed. The phrasing of the "not proceed" statement by the police (to the press) is of no legal significance. The CPS could not "exonerate anybody completely," as their role is to assess suitability for prosecution and consequential prosecution. They do not "judge" (in the bewigged sense).
