  1. Got to keep Che to have any chance of promotion really. Perfect for this league.
  2. Amazing that I live 150 miles from Southampton and I cannot listen to commentary on a radio station through the BBC or the club without having to fork out extra money over a licence fee. If the club gave an option of paying £xxx for EVERY game streaming live, I would pay. But the laws have not moved on with the migration in the UK (I was born in Winchester but moved early up t' Midlands). If I still lived in the South, I would buy a season ticket, but don't have that option. It's so frustrating trying to follow your club when you don't live in the vicinity. It seems if I moved further away (out of the country) I may have better luck watching or listening to Saints matches. My only option really is to follow Forest or County...but just typing that made me feel faint and ever so slightly vommity! 🤢
  3. Paying £45 to listen to commentary which I already pay a licence fee for...no thank you. Will be back to just listening out for the score now and hoping to get to the odd match. Disappointed as I enjoyed listening to commentary previously. 😟
  4. I'm confused a bit. Living in Nottingham, I can't get Radio Solent commentary through Internet/Digital Radio. Last few seasons I've been able to listen through the website anywhere in the world. Am I no longer able to do this? Would free up a lot of my time for more useful activities.
  5. Personally, think JS would make a great Saints captain. Being vocal and passionate about the club is something we've missed on the pitch. Plus, telling Vardy to get up after diving in the 1-2 win at theirs, taking the piss out of the other Leicester player with his fingers in his ears and his putting right of Moaning Myrtle Fernandes is the stuff I want from a captain. 😁 Not being the best player on the pitch shouldn't preclude you from being captain.
  6. Has Skacel signed yet? Think HCDAJFU! 😉
  7. I still wear my Pony top for cycling to work. Been stopped a couple of times by people asking about it, even up here in Nottm. First kit I ever saw to buy outside of The South, so had to buy it. Surprised it still fits to be honest.
  8. Please, please, please Saints, if you only win one more game this season, make it this one. At least give me something I can use against all the Forest fans up here. Bright side with relegation ist that there are many more teams in the lower divisions in the Midlands I can get to. Oh, I said bright side, I forgot that this is Saints we're talking about here. Never forget seeing us lose to Notts County in the Redflapp years. So awful! Please, just beat Forest!
  9. Sorry, slightly drunk!
  10. Been out all night, assume we beat Bompey easily and are now confident of a great escape?!
  11. Just shovelled out a wood louse with my Forest v Saints tickets...winner already!
  12. Seems to be the season for returning managers currently. Could we see the return of Mad Nate? 😉
  13. Hello Ruben, welcome to the forum. 😁
  14. Sneaky, nerve jangling 1-0 to Saints, just to keep the faint hopes alive...until we lose to Palace in our next must win game.
  15. Didn't think we looked bad today, pretty good until the final 3rd. Some decent football, no pace or cutting edge though, same old, same old. Was that the first decent cross to Tall Paul we've put in since he joined...and he nearly scored from it? Think we're done for now, cannot see us getting enough points from what we have remaining.
  16. Zones? Penetration? 4-4-f'ing 2 with your best players and just put the ball into the bloody net. Simple! Will still be listening though.
  17. What's WGS up to these days?
  18. I'm normally the most positive Saints fan and always have hope. This is awful, cannot see how we're not going to be relegated. All I hope for is that we beat Forest home and away otherwise this season will be even more unbearable.
  19. Sorry, it's all my fault, wearing a Pellegrino era shirt, have swapped to a Koeman era shirt now, 3-2 win coming up.
  20. Actually cannot wait for tomorrow's match. Got free Prime setup ready and have a sneaky suspicion that Djenepo is going to win the match for us. No idea why, just think that after the hassle he gave Che on Tuesday, he now has to step up. But, back to the thread, Merry Christmas Saints fans, here's to a brighter 2023 for us all.
  21. Lambert v Stoke free kick at St Mary's, was right behind it in the Kingsland and could see as soon as it left his boot it was on its way in over the keeper. Lemina away at WBA as well, in the 3-2 win in the Pellegrino season.
  22. I agree with Madge. We need a level of unpredictability and we have very few players who can deliver. We should play 432 and have Moussa floating around. Just make sure he's not near a touchline when he picks up the ball. Desperate times, desperate measures!
  23. Born in Winchester and moved up to Nottingham in 1984 when I was 11. Usually get to all the local Midlands games each season, though missed Leicester and Wolves due to other plans. Aiming to get to Leeds and Forest if tickets reach general sale. Usually get to 1 home game at least each season, targeting Palace this time. Love being back in Southampton when we can get down, always have a great time! Edit: Forgot, there are a fair few Saints fans in Nottm, been stopped a few times when wearing colours to chat with fellow fans, both me and my wife work with other fans as well.
  24. I predict that it'll either be a Saints win, a Utd win but possibly a draw.
  25. "Stick yer 9-0 up your a*s" That was a great match to be at. LIke The Cat, this would be one I would go to being down the road but also away this weekend. Hopefully this is the match where Vardy finally gets booked for diving.
