Is there any chance we can keep both Ramsdale and Peretz?

Think this could go either way or maybe a draw. Tough one to call (Saints 4-0)

Just watched the extended highlights, how was a penalty given for Shea Charles running to get the ball, not tackling anyone, yet adjudged to be fouling? Looked completely accidental to me with my drunken eyes.

Harsh on Peretz I think. To me, the first shot seems to take a slight deflection that sets the ball bouncing. Peretz had it covered if it stayed on the ground but as he reaches it, it bounces up so goes over his hand instead of round the post. My first thought was he should do better but one of the replays really shows that he was unlucky with the deflection. The second, completely justified to come out and offer an out ball. The replay from behind Peretz shows him moving into a position to receive the ball and get it up the field, was just the underhit pass to him that left him stranded. Love that he joined in the celebrations at the other end of the pitch as well. Seems to have integrated exceptionally well.

Comfortable really, should've done better in some situations and still going backwards from good positions too much but decent overall. Think Peretz is a step up in keeper but not by as much as we'd hoped, but hopefully still a bit rusty...like him talking to his defence more. One moan...stop having everyone back for corners. We're causing our own problems by congesting the six yard box making it more difficult for Danny to come out and claim. Keep people forward forcing the opposition to keep people back!

Utter garbage! Not much more you can say. The Saganowski effect seen here again...bright, flowing football, contract given and back to the risk adverse, slow plodding backwards themed football. So glad I'm too far away to ever be tempted to get a season ticket.

So glad I decided to spend the afternoon playing darts in the garage with my wife than watching this tergid dross. Time better spent I think!

Same here. Utter atrocious. Losing Stewart and Quarshie has really hurt us. THB should be dropped, mouthy and a horrible/nasty streak that means he'll always get cards and just isn't any good. Lucky to stay on the pitch after leaving his foot in on Twine.

Macca MotM for me, some excellent saves, good punches and good kicking. Great performance! Scienza is not right for this team. Too forward thinking, too positive, always looking to shoot. That's not the Southampton way. You always, always look to the side and/or behind you first. Driving forward and shooting is an absolute final, final option. Nothing will come from it. We march...backwards or sideways, usually!
