The general Metal scene these days in Southampton is shocking. Just The Hobbit left now I think. Anything is better than the Martin sh*t show we've had so far so pleased we've got someone in quickly that is different. And also being into Metal, I like him already, has obvious taste 😁 A Forest supporting friend did ping me to say in Croatian, Ivan Juric translates as Sam Allardyce which did make me laugh. Onwards and upwards hopefully.

Thank goodness I'm away from Nottm for the next month on holiday so I don't have to put up with the gloating at work next week. Hopefully everyone will have forgotten by the time I'm back.

Said only last week to my Forest supporting colleagues that I would love us to sign BBD. Thought he excelled last season in a poor Sheff Utd side so am genuinely excited by this signing. Time to swap Loch Ness Drogba for BBD in my Fantasy team.

It's why we love our club, our true fan favourite players and the feeling of belonging. I'm not sure you get that with some other clubs. It's not the winning or glory, it's a deeper affinity, that some players get I think. Love Southampton, but wish it was easier to listen to match commentary outside of the Solent area.

I like Alex the Donkey and am glad he's extended his deal with Saints. I like loyalty to the club and stepping up when called upon. This is what makes a football club what it is. I personally think Alex deserved this for the end of the season performances and if the club are happy, they've earned the right to prove that they know best. Worse case, we get relegated and then have another great season in the Championship that most people seemed to enjoy more than the slog of the Prem. The worst part will be the Forest fans up here gloating if we go down and they don't, but I'll live.

No complaints with that! Though that picture of Armstrong does make it look like he's been on the end of season booze.

I'm in Nottingham and every football fan I've spoken to this week have stated they'll be rooting for Saints. Not much love for Leeds with Derby, Forest, Leicester or County fans here.

Tall Paul: A striker who can score with his head, left or right foot. No use for him here. Think with the right supply, he could be a very good striker for us. Never given a chance really. I personally would like to see him back in a Saints shirt and given a chance with a team playing to his strengths....which is never going to happen. Feel for Mara, does show some promise and has scored some great goals but then drops off. Very intermittent player, which for a professional is unforgivable really.

Heard there's an up and coming young manager doing a remarkable job at Tranmere Rovers. Worth a look?

Pants, was looking forward to watching the cup final this year but will give it a miss now. Great match though, so unlucky Coventry, feel for them.
