So we have a DM and CB like you say - good business on paper which improves weak areas in the starting 11 We need an attacking player with the vision for an assist and ability to score a goal - not cheap mind.

This. Give me Pellegrino over Puel all day long. Barring this game we've played a much more high tempo game which is more attractive to watch (unlike anything last season). Sh*t result tonight and a poor performance but we'll move on. Chat of relegation battles is madness.

We've scored 17 goals in 19 home games. Three of those games we scored 3 goals (Leceister, Palace and Burnley). That means in 16 home games we've scored 8 goals!!!!! That is so bad it's impressive! Puel tactics are the main problem, one pace football like watching England play. Secondly we have only scored a total of 6 goals from midfield (inc. Davis 0, Clasie 1, Romeu 1, Ward-Prowse 4 and Hoijbjerg 0). Thirdly our top goal scorer is Redmond with 7 goals followed by Austin with 6 goals (granted in half a season). New manager asap. Get a goal scoring midfielder - break the bank to do so, someone who can also muster some assists. I've renewed my season ticket but the thought of another season under Puel is awful. Les Reed you have your work cut out this summer.

Met Sam outside the Saints Bar before the game last night. Very pleasant lad. Didn't ask anything instrusive but he did say he was unsure of plans for next season. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at Blackburn and found it a great experience. Was disappointed for his teammates and more so the fans from the relegation. Came across very grounded and happy to engage in a conversation.

Heartbreaking way to lose the game having been the best side throughout. Have to be incredibly proud of the performance from the team. Fans were fantastic, really generated a great atmosphere. Fantastic performance. Gabbiadini looks some player - his intelligent movement is what we've been screaming for! Tadic was sensational. Played a much more free role and linked lots of attacking play.

This. Whilst we have made a monumentous f*ck up with signing a CB we have enough in the side to get 12 points from 15 games. There are 5 teams between us and the bottom 3 who are very poor sides. I'm more disappointed in the clear lack of ambition by Reed and co. Actually feel sorry for a Puel. Like others have suggested I would try Bertrand at CB as Stephens does not convince me at this level.

On the break with minus one man. Of course it had a huge impact. We were up against a well organised Spurs team but to have 10 men in any football game due to a shocking decision is going go significantly against your favour.

JWP had a poor game. Redmond looked ok for me up to a travesty of a decision. Think people are getting unfairly on his back. Up to the red card from their equaliser the front 3 struggled because we decided to stop pressing and defend so deep which played into their hands.

Let's be honest that was an almighty c*ck up and not the first time (Arsenal away). That was a worse decision than the Arsenal one. Other people's opinions?

I accept that he has not been up to his expected standards this year. But today the first goal took a wicked deflection from the cross. The other 3 would have been world class saves. And the jeering for his kicking is embarrassing from our fans who barely sang a word all game.
