They were pathetic in that and what a perfect way for them to lose. One of the most average teams to win the title. Set up deep and hit them on the break. They seem to struggle when teams sit deep not to dissimilar to the way we do.

Best Saints goalkeeping performance I've seen. A great servant to the club and many players have said how important he is in the dressing room.

Would be a great signing. Really impressed with him in the PL this season. Him over Hernandez all day.

A blatant dive is easy to identify.

I don't get how they can give a ban such as this (which is right IMO) but not give any ban for blatant diving.

Barring the probable sales of Schneiderlin and Clyne I hope we strengthen this summer and build on what we have. I would let Elia return to Wolfsburg and get another pacey winger in. He's not convinced me yet but there is still 10 games for him to sell himself to the club. Striker we desperately need. A powerful pacey forward like a Diouf, Sakho or a Benteke as examples of the sort of player, not sure who is out there. Not sure Ings wpuld fit the way we play. Clasie and Trippier/Bryam to replace Schneiderlin and Clyne. Strengthen and we can have another great season. Keeping Koeman is absolutely key.

Hardest away game this season but I fancy us performing well and nicking something. Agree with previous posters, park the bus and hit them on the break with pacey players. Bring em on! COYR!

Koeman to Newcastle

Want to see Tadic given a run in the team again. He has had plenty of time to return to full fitness. Bertrand returning is also huge. This game will show if we are going to wimper out or come back fighting. I trust the latter in the the capable hands of Koeman. Would like a return to 2 strikers being Long (against his old side) and Pelle or even Mane for Pelle. Be that via a 3-5-2 formation or something different.

The FA again reaffirming that they are utter buffons. They should have really lifted his ban or kept it and Barnes should have been given 3 match ban. Common sense seems to prevail when it comes to the FA.

There is no chance he was gonna save the first goal and the second one for that matter. He is better than Boruc who made lots of clangers last season and still not reached his prime age for a GK and still developing. GK is not an issue for us barring injury to Forster. There are some aspects of his game which need to improve and they will. It's his first season in the PL which people need to remember. Guarantee you he will get better and better. Look at how De Gea started in the PL. Posters on here are somewhat unrealistic in their expectations of him this season. Do people expect him to be some 8 armed super machine?!

Personally feel 4-3-3 isolates him too much. Would like a return of the Pelle/Mane or Pelle/Long combination. He is shot for confidence but needs to try and contribute more as its not just lack of service and isolation leading to his poor form. I would like us to try and sign Benteke or a player of that ilk (strong and quick) but obviously that is easier said than done!!

The home TV games as well as being a nuisance in changing of time/date we have a poor record. Away record on TV is actually pretty good. Chelsea away is the next TV game and Spurs I think is on TV.

Still young and will improve but please don't play him with Davis again, becomes too predictable. Both need to improve in their final third passing.

So if Utd/Arsenal v Liverpool is the FA cup final and they both are in the UCL then the Europa spot goes to the league. So if Chelsea win the league cup does that mean 7th can qualify in Europa? As all 3 positions would go to 5th 6th and 7th?

Tadic is going to be vital in this game. This really is our biggest game of the season so far.

Personally couldn't care less about booing him or not etc. He left, he's history, get over it. More hoping we generate a good atmosphere.

Can't see a thread that has been done. Huge huge huge game. Need a win for the top 4 push. They are 4 points behind now and hitting some good form. Should be an open game. A decent break for the players and should be a near fully fit side. Toby and Morgan back in for sure. Would maybe start Tadic and JWP for Elia and Reed. Need to improve drastically in our final third. Can see this game having goals both ends. Liverpool have two games before this game which is good.
