Bump! Any new links? Can't find any aside from Vlaar who it looks unlikely to sign (thankfully!).

So is Rodriguez playing on the left or has he been used as a CF?

All sounds very promising from reading this thread. FC Groningen came 8th last year too so a good test in preparation for Vitesse.

We do have great attacking depth and at last a player (Clasie) who can pick out the intelligent runs of Mane, Long, JRod and presumably Juanmi. Its no secret that we will bring in a CB with rumours of another CDM to improve the back 4. Absolutely buzzing for this season!

So who will the next signing be. Van Dijk for me.

What we desperately lack is a midfielder who can pick out the runs of our forwards to like to try and get in behind (JRod and Mane in particular). Clasie appear to have that in his locker in abundance. He is also decent in the CDM stats too. Would be very happy if we signed him. That would be 3 young international (Holland, Portugal and Spain) signings.

I agree re: Rodriguez, since his injury he looks to have bulked up which may aid his holding up ability. Though I remember under Poch when he would play centrally he struggled.

With European games (provided we make the groups stages!) are going to mean utilising the whole squad giving more opportunities for young players to break through. We will definitely see more of Reed and Targett. I think Hesketh, Seagar and Gallagher will get opportunities as late subs and league cup games. Any players who may make their full first team debut? Slattery perhaps? Know very little about him mind only that he is 16. Could he set a Saints record if he played?

From player to manager this experience is going to be very helpful. He has played at every level in all tournaments and managed in the CL and Europa regularly at previous clubs. If any stat folk can elaborate on his experience/success (me being too lazy) that would be useful. Teams that have struggled for league form have often had managers with no or little previous experience to the European competitions which appears to have impacted their league form. For once Sky have picked the right fixtures. They have not shown a single relegation battle game I can think of unless they have played one of the big teams. Sunderland v Leicester and QPR v Newcastle were not picked and West Brom v Chelsea (meaningless game) and Liverpool v Palace were.
