GET IN!!!
-
Like I said previously, NO CHANCE!
-
Deeney and Ighalo are two very good strikers. Exactly the type of players we lack. What frustrates me is we could have a chance of signing either one of them in the summer if our board backed it but we won't and someone like West Ham will.
-
Saw the goals on MOTD and was screaming at the TV for someone to take down Kane. Really pathetic. Showed a lack of commitment. The second goal was one of the worst I've seen us concede since the dark days. Appalling.
-
Yes yes you are an expert in negativity we get it.
-
As I said before - we will not be relegated.
-
Where is Harrison Reed. How can he not at least make the bench! Surely there are some other youngsters in attacking roles who could make the bench. Attacking wise we need some alternatives.
-
He won't be leaving in January as he said after the Brighton game. We need 3 players in January - CM, winger and a mobile CF.
-
Have to agree with everything he has said there. Need to see a 90 minute reaction against Arsenal with the players playing like its a cup final. That and the board investing a little cash in January.
-
2 points above Bournemouth now. Jesus. Wanting a late Utd equaliser.
-
Austin just said in an interview he is not leaving in January.
-
There is absolutely no way we will go down. Things will turn around.
-
Don't be silly. They will challenge for 4th. Second half they've been distinctly average.
-
Spurs have been very average against Newcastle.
-
Just seen the highlights. Gazza played brilliantly. How did Long miss at the end!?
-
Pacey attacking winger and a mobile centre forward would be ideal. Who those signings would be I have no idea. I worry it would be further loan signings.
-
Concerning to see our main goal threat has fitness issues and also explains his lack of form. I would rather see Mane playing up front than Long who would struggle to in Villa's starting line up (if Pelle is not starting). 0-2 loss.
-
Against Villa there was definitely a front 3 with Tadic and Mane very much out wide. Davis JWP and Wanyama were centre and changing from dropping deep to collect the ball from the defence. I would argue we do use this system quite a lot. I do think the front 3 when it is not quite going our way do not interchange, make runs and drop deep enough. Mane to a degree does but Pelle and Tadic don't. Anyway of getting heat maps from the Villa game for positions out of interest?
-
-----------------Stek Cedric-----Fonte----VvD---Bertand ----------Wanyama-------Clasie Davis--------Mane--------Tadic ------------Pelle Juanmi as an attacking option in the 2nd half if we are chasing things or Romeu if we are defending. Full backs will need to be very tight to Zaha and Bolasie who against Newcastle proved if you don't contain them they will wreck havoc on the flanks. 2-2 entertaining game. (Mane & Cedric)

Beginning to find the 4-3-3 formation frustrating at home. Mane is left out wide which for me is not his best position. Teams that defend/counter make it difficult for the midfield 3 to find the front 3 especially when have teams putting 5-6 bodies in the centre. This then leads to the frustrating and often aimless passing amongst the back 4. It also suits teams that counter attack as they have much more space to operate in which we saw against Stoke. Don't get me wrong it has worked for us on many occasions and we do change the system sometimes. At times this season our midfield has not offered/created chances for our front 3. Also think the front 3 are not always inter changing/dropping deep to create more space. Just feel we don't use our plan B enough and want to see Mane in his central free role again. Thoughts?

James Ward-Prowse's list of indisputable, unimprovable weaknesses
Wiggles31 replied to ScepticalStan's topic in The Saints
Was it his corner we scored from? I do agree though that he really has not progressed as much as we have expected. Yesterday he was a passenger for a lot of the game. -
Really dunno what to think of this game. If Kompany is not playing then maybe we have a slim chance. We certainly seem to be better at the defend/counter line up which could almost suit with Pelle out. City are nothing too special so have a weird feeling we'll come away with something. But as mentioned if there big guns are fit again then it'll be difficult. 1-1.
