  1. What's he saying?
  2. Also my fear. They've been 'not good enough' for too long and Jose is too fly to let that happen.
  3. The sign-maker himself! I saw the famous Enfield match from the shed end - hanging out the trees, they were. Exciting non-league days! Mickey Spencer was another 'ledge' from that era.
  4. Glasgow Rangers (Grandad was a lifelong member/fan). Ok, you're all gonna hate me now, cos I do follow teams that members of my family support (wishing they'd lose often, though), including: Liverpool (brother) Spurs (Dad) Norwich (cousins) Mates teams I look out for: Wolves Places I've lived, therefore some loyalty to: Yeovil Town St Johnstone (ie. Perth) - also called the Saints, so that's a decent other reason to like them. Airdrieonians Falkirk (the mighty Bairns) Falmouth Town Exeter City (the 'Goalless Grecians' - only ever saw 0-0 matches lol) Crawley Finally (sorry to be negative), NOT EVER: Brighton
  5. 'Zob' works in French, I believe.
  6. Well OBVIOUSLY Mick (checks avatar ). Yep, good call on most of those. MLT was more an attacking mid, imo, and the various wingers you mention weren't really out-and-out strikers. So, that boils down to about 6 (9 if you include Danny & Rod and add Ron Davies 'back in the day'). Not exactly a production line conveyor belt of striking talent. I stand by my point... so far...
  7. Damn, they equalised.
  8. My money's on this, then going to Barcelona after a few years (maybe until after the 2022 World Cup?) in the national job.
  9. Do you think Erikson would have developed as well as Morgan did, if he had [or could have] signed for us? I'm not sure we have a knack for developing strikers as much as we do for midfielders. Or am I about to be proved wrong...?
  10. Casting my mind back to when I last saw him play [on tv], he showed skill, energy and creativity, but.... ... he seemed a bit (please forgive the word) 'lightweight'. It's not that he didn't put in for tackles or anything, but his approach seemed a bit flimsy and unreliable as if he was always about to make a mistake, rather than instil confidence. Maybe he's too much of an individual when we've preferred players who are part of the 'unit'? Not having seen much of him I'm willing to accept correction on this thought.
  11. We were the better team even though we didn't play our best (nor had our best team on at any stage of the match imo). Disappointed with 'only' a point away, but buoyed by the fact we will be better than this once Clasie returns, Juanmi gets pitch time and JRod is 100%... and Romeu plays more, Forster/Bertrand return from injury. Plenty to look forward to.
  12. Attempts 12 On target 4 65% possession. No goals!
  13. We need VvD to drive forwards and get a dream PL start with a winner.
  14. Bad slip from Vic, but well back, everyone.
  15. Cedric off. Yoshida on
  16. Mane's on.... who for?
  17. Sometimes...
  18. Terrible again, JWP. The ref's seen your shooting, no wonder he gave a goal kick!
  19. SHOOT!!!! awww, no not like that. Oh, JWP... ok, no surprise. Prior to that, Vic penalised again for just being a building.
  20. Who was that to? Even Gatlin on speed wouldn't have got it.
  21. comedy play from Saints there. We attacked for them.
  22. Yep. JRod now defending like MT!
  23. Rickie's off.
  24. Shoot! goldarnit... Good defending, I suppose.
  25. Agree. Put Tadic on left, JRod on right then subbed off for Mane after 60' if he hasn't scored. And in support, I'd bring Romeu on for Davis. And Long on for JWP.
