More chance of seeing Dempsey and Makepeace at St Mary’s.
-
That’s a disgrace.
-
What does that mean? Define clinical. 28 goals suggest he is clinical and took his chances. Maybe he’s just not up to Prem standard yet?
-
Don’t blow this, Ralph.

Raineri was dreadful at Fulham.

Fears of an imminent banking crisis in China. I wonder if there will be any knock-on to China-backed clubs. https://www.bbc.com/news/business-58579833

Bye then

Think we may stay up!

Drawing to the likes of Man U is pointless. How on earth do we stand a chance staying up losing to dross like Newcastle? Curtains.

Sorry but Cahill screams of a relegation signing, in my opinion.

Funny how us fans know Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin will score, Townsend will cause us problems, and our goalkeeper is shite. Why can’t the manager?
-
Not sure why so many are assuming this. Vestergaard is a good defender. If he wasn’t, he wouldn’t be going to Leicester, a team light years ahead of us right now.
-
Would be a good signing.

What the f**k is going on. Done with this rabble

Not sure if this is a wind-up but goodness me. I don’t think the situation is as bad as some make out but anyone who thinks we’ve not been significantly weakened by selling Ings need a wake up call. Yes, we know he wanted a move and, yes, we’ve done well to get £30 million for him, but I’m struggling to see who we can bring in that’s on par with his class. Armstrong definitely isn’t (yet) and is unproven in the Premier League. Finding Danny’s replacement is going to be the biggest call this management has made in years. It needs to be spot on. -
We’ve sorely missed his brand of rock & Rohl football.

https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/glenn-hoddle-says-england-star-24346382 “Paul Scholes. I managed a lot of players, Shearer was excellent, Ince was excellent, David Beckham too, all wonderful players. ”Scholes was the reason why Le Tissier didn't go. He was such a good player, he could play off the front, he could play anywhere, he just got on with it and put his foot in if need be.”

I think it’s a shame it’s got to the point where our academy isn’t producing guaranteed first team talent. Players in the mould of Lookman should be part of our production line in the hope establishing themselves as regulars, rather than shelling out on a player who’s been passed around a few times in the past five years.

Another extremely jammy finish from Che today. Hope he sorts out his finishing soon.
-
Jammy finish? He scored, what more do you want? It would be great for Che to kick on next season to bat away ridiculous posts like this.

Anyone starting to look nervously at the table?

Good stat. In three months we’ve only won 8 points. Sums up how dreadful 2021 has been for Saints and how bad the bottom three are. -
I wouldn’t be surprised if they battered Leicester, making our performance on Sunday even more disappointing. It could be 2005 all over again...
-
Our awful run of performances began with his tears after Liverpool.

As always, it’s the hope that kills you.
