Fair play to Howe. I thought he’d flop but he’s completely rejuvenated Newcastle and I don’t think it’s solely down to splashing a bit of cash. When you look at his career so far, his credentials as a top boss are there for all to see. Various promotions and awards, including the LMA award in 2015. A shrewd appointment.

His Wikipedia page says he came on as a sub for Matthew Bound. Anyone remember him?
