I'd leave. Like it or not, there was a democratic vote and result. I honestly think it was never meant (or going) to be an unbiased argument, and in truth, the government used a tax payer funded leaflet to spread their own message. Either way, the remain side really messed about and lost at their own game. The decision is done now. It would do incredible damage to this country to try and undo it - I think it would be a generational death knell for our democracy at least. I personally also think we will get a very poor deal if we go back on it (goodbye rebate etc), let alone the damage it would do to Britain's reputation and standing in world politics/trade. As for the EU itself. If you take the emotions and political ideologies out of this, there really should be no reason not to strike an open and beneficial trade deal between the UK and the EU. The fact that this simply hasn't happened says an unfortunately large amount about either the EU's ability to function, or on their future EU ambitions on British industries. Either way it should make for uncomfortable thought experiments when considering the future. We could have been seen as long term allies and trading partners who have chosen to go another way, instead I feel very much that we have been treated as prize cattle from which they wish to chose their cuts. If that is the case, and given DC's previous inability to extract any concessions, maybe we really are better off under our own sovereign democracy... Even if it does give us a the choice of Jezzabelle or Maybot I think whichever way you voted, its hard to ignore the harm undoing it will do, and its hard to look at the prospective deal on offer and be happy. Not a great place to be - and a very sad indictment of our current political leaders. Also Bexy, I am sorry to say this, but if you believe that twitter blog from James Patrick then you are giving into some serious Hysteria and need to take a break or step back. That simply won't be happening and you can come quote me in march next year

I would take that. But there is zero chance of him tolerating this board.

Haven't clicked on the article. Looks like a caricature of David Luiz to me?

Know. He was smug think Reed had it coming. -
Suggest a delayed entry to the stadium? first 5min?

He really is ****e.

Playing higher up and using JWP and redmond more. Better. but far far far too late. Irony being JWP is our best player this half
-
If you believe that you are a total fool. Our momentum curve bottoms out in the lower leagues. Bankrupt and youth prospects sold for peanuts.
-
So you either disagree and think Reed should say. Or you are doing feck all to fix the issue whilst knocking a guy in Glasgow for not protesting...
-
Obvious foul on Cedric. Not that it matters.

They can all walk home for all i care.

Cricket score coming up. Record Premier League defeat. Players are a disgrace today. No effort, no tackles, no pressing. Their heads were down before kick off. Hughes also to blame for picking a team this disinterested..

We look ****e.

Chin up lads. We'll either get a result or play well and ultimately fail. I predict a happy forum at 5pm.

Pure BS... and you know it.

Nothing else has worked in the past 2 years I think our fans want him to be this above average all rounder, getting stuck in, box to box, popping up scoring goals and then back making last minute slide tackles the next. That will never be JWP, hes a technical player whose role is to feed and support the front men, get balls in the box, and pop up on the D from deep. If we're not going to use him like that then he is going to look very average.
-
I wonder how many club plants / Reedists will be out to defend him, discredit the data, and/or attack the dissenters. Simple fact is that whether the figures are/aren't up to date, or we're a couple of positions out... our strategy (if there is one) has been executed horrendously.
-
He has a place. Its as a wide man on central midfield playmaker. His crossing and dead ball delivery is superb, and he is actually a player that gets his head up to make a pass. He isn't a shining light at anything else, but at those two elements he is very very good. But in previous years we had progressive managers that focused on player movement and a target man up front. Since then we've been static (and no surprise the goals have dried up). Verses Newcastle we looked so much sharper with him and gabbi both playing... yet these are two players that will hardly get a look in under our current playstyle. I would be starting JWP and have Gabbi and Ings up front. Every game. And change our style to be more attacking with more players in the final 3rd... Fits the style of all 3 players. It really is laughable how bad we are at the moment, we are playing so far within ourselves it hurts.

Makes a mockery of the club. Reed out.

Bring back four saints players to save our team.

Very clearly states that you are picking them at their peak playing for saints. -

1.) Our defence is poor, so clearly one of Toby or VVD for me. I think I would actually pick Toby as he martialed the defence superbly and has more about his all round game than athleticism. He also never lost interest with saints. 2.) Our midfield and attack are not generating enough goals. Queue the greatest player to ever feature in the red and white - Le Tissier 3.) Mane - Utterly unplayable on his day, and for me one of the best wingers in world football. 4.) No. 4 is a tough one with so many to chose from. But the best of the rest is between Channon, Lambert, and Keegan. - Given our current strikeforce issues, I think I would pick Channon. -
What we need to do in the short term, to fix the first team
Saint86 replied to benjii's topic in The Saints
What we need is passing creativity in the midfield, someone who can place a cross, pass or set piece into the right area. Then what we need is a striker who can get on the end of it. Unfortunately Hughes doesn't rate or recognise Gabbi and JWP, and despite them coming on an instantly making us more threatening vs Newcastle, it will be another month before we see them on the pitch together again -
Reporting as they have all died now. Terrible.
-
Was a total bar-steward to Le Tissier but I wish him a speedy recovery. The chap making bad taste karma jokes.... Sick.

89Min - JWP hits a cracking diagonal cross field ball in behind the defence. Gabbi does spins on the ball and beats the man, feeds the wide man. Wide man wips in a cross with long given all the time to shoot from the D - hits it wide. Southampton's best move on the match. And you just know JWP and Gabbi will have to wait another 6games to be on the pitch together at the same time again...
