Rumoured to be in for Celta's Sisto, would be a decent buy for us if its true. Pacy and powerful winger.

There is actually a chance that Everton could send Moyes down

I cashed out my relegation bet after the Cherries win. Had a strong feeling we'd win and almost did it before. The bet returned £84, and the peak cash out was £57. Settled for £40 in the end, plus put a bet on us to beat Bournemouth... not a horrendous weekend all in all The question is. Do I bet on Liverpool to win the Champions League... Another insurance bet that will cheer me up if they manage it
-
Well... it is discriminatory towards foreigners, and in a rather biased fashion. Its also a stupid comment since some of the key players behind that win were not English. Unless Lemina and Tadic are English surnames?!??! And against this, some of the players people have been moaning about for most on this are Forster, Bertrand and JWP... And unless I am very much mistake they all speak English as their first (and probably only) language. In fact, someone come and get me when the fans come up with a regular chant for our English players.

A great result on the weekend. I must admit I went to Bristol Rovers vs Gillingham which had the nice bonus of stopping me having to sit through 90min of nail biting!! Was delighted to see the result at full time and was tense enough reading Sky Sports commentary as Macca kept pulling out the saves! One win now and we're in with a very good chance, and we've certainly put the pressure on those above us. If ourselves, Huddersfield and Stoke weren't all so complete ****, West Ham may have ended up going down!!
-
Well £56.99 to be exact. Not that that's going to make you stop calling other posters a liar in off hand remarks.
-
Don't really get your outrage with this tbh. Far bigger problems than attacking one of our longest serving and loyal players.
-
I put £12 on us to go down when Palace took the lead against us. I would never normally bet against Saints, but when that goal went in i was both certain we were fecked, and furious at the club. Ultimately its a silver lining if we go down, and that looks very likely. I can cash it in for £57 now. Tempted to stick it all on Liverpool to win the CL. Again, a silver lining insurance bet.

No. Our leadership is pathetic and delusional. They'll probably have their own rewards for most transfer profit. Or maybe for whose son has the most Saints talent contracted to him.
-
Could be worse mate, we could have been finishing below Pompey next season and be the bottom ranked club on the south coast.... Let that sink in.
-
Get a grip of yourself mate, jeez Louise! I purely commented on the rumoured tour and reasons. What is with our melt fans turning on other Saints fans? Fecking embarrassing for those involved.
-
Les Reed. Until he goes
-
Talent with what looks to be a very selfish mentality and no team ethic. Top 6 / top 8 squads can afford this. With our defence we simply cannot afford such a lazy player.
-
The confidence is shot and the defence has been weakened to long past breaking point.

I don't know if this has already been reported on here (if so I've missed it amongst the wrist slitting and fan angst), but Gao wants us to tour China in the pre-season. This is with a backdrop to raising the club's profile in the east, and also to work with Lander sports development to open 10 coaching academies - queue a Chinese prodigy (or not) in the saints team in circa 10years. A large part of me feels this is the very last thing we need to be distracted by this summer. Miles from Europe and the UK right when we need to be restructuring the staff and the players... and with all the hastle entailed in communicating over that distance. On top of that, its going to come after what has been a long hard season for the players that stay, and potentially a world cup (assuming we keep any of those players). On the flip side, it does show some interesting intent from the owner, and an interest in the club and its stature/progression.

This thread is shocking. Get a look at yourselves ffs. We are all saints fans, and wherever you fall on that spectrum I'm sure there are other fans that annoy you... But we are all Saints fans! Its a shared journey of suffering, occasional highs, and regular disappointment!! You want to hate someone, look to Liverpool, West Ham, Pompey etc. Not ourselves.
-
Don't disagree with that. I think we have a lot of fans that think we'll go down, land on our feet, and then get promoted as champions etc. Its not happening sadly.
-
Tadic has been trying and is actually a good player if he is allowed to attack. PEH, JWP, Bedanek, Long are all decent players. And Davis tries but is past his peak now. We've just had a ****e manager and a ****e board for two seasons and it has killed the team. Its too easy to criticise all our attacking players when in reality the tactics since Koeman have been shockingly defensive. Listened to the end of it now. They are not pulling their punches. Blame well and trully laid on Leslie 'fat balding T-stain' Reed.... and all openly saying he needs to go now and his replacement needs to be sorted out or its another summer of drift.

I think you are also guilty of rewriting the past a bit as well Clarke! We were in the relegation zone when he joined us, and whilst some of those players were Championship level, a lot were not as well. He was also on course for a decent finish in the prem given he had a largely championship level squad in his first season back up. Whilst getting rid of him for Poch was a great decision by NC from a performance perspective. It was also incredibly harsh on Nigel. It definitely hamstrung his career and stopped him reaching a higher level that he certainly looked to be capable of. After than he has taken on poor job choices at Reading and Sheffield and his career hasn't really recovered. I think if he came back to saints then the vast majority of the fanbase would support him. Whether he would be the best man for the job is up for debate. He would bond the players together as a team, and with the fans on his side I think that would give us a lot of momentum. Unfortunately i think he is a manager that needs to build from a low point, rather than arresting someone else's slide and achieve a good finish. I personally think Hughes is doing a decent job with a very damaged and limited squad. It is not his fault that his best offensive players are Shane Long and Tadic, nor that his best defenders are two youngsters and Yoshi. That is no slight on those players. But when you consider we have had players like VVD and Mane it is shocking to think we have this team currently. It is shame that he has not had more time as I think he would have kept us up if appointed earlier in the season. But again, not to bore everyone to death, but Les Reed will been worse for saints than Lowe if we go down.
-
Been calling for it for years. But Les needs to go now before the end of the season. His position is utterly untenable and the club should be restructuring now! Regardless of what division we are in.
-
Beat Cherries and we'll stay up. Have faith!
-
Get a grip mate, jesus.
-
Do we really need another Les Reed out thread? Yes.
-
Be honest guys. If we had attacked that Leicester set up with our players we would have lost. You know it, and Hughes Knows it. He took the point. Maybe it will be crucial. Maybe it won't. But it is not Hughes' fault that we had to beat a Leicester side with 5 games to go. A side that are perfectly set up to hit on the counter (possibly the best in the league for this), and with a team that can't defend for toffee.... The point was a good one. We have Bournemouth, Swansea, Everton and City to go. Get 3 wins. Or hell, even 7 points might do us.
