Merson thinks west ham are going to come 7th? -
Golden quote which will be dragged back out in May

And that ends the next round of forum gibberish before it gets started. Thank you Mowgli.

Interesting statistic today, 66.7% of UK universities have stated that Brexit has made absolutely no difference to their recruitment of EU nationals. So thats another scare story that can be chalked off.

It should be a stark warning of where socialism ends. Although people who vote for it are generally don't live in the real world, are very gullible (students this year), or just all three combined.

I'm fairly casual about this season, we've had another crap summer with unrest and seemingly no direction... But I think we have a good manager. If only the board could deliver another year of sexual transfers like Koeman's first year. We'll come top 8! P.S. - If we win the league, I am counting that as top 8

The better question is, have you? This isn't about oil or resources. This is about a lunatic with nukes. I'll put it another way. Does anyone think there is a viable scenario for the USA, which includes North Korean having nuclear missiles capable of hitting their main land? ***** But more to the point, Russia has been massing troops along its north korean border, and across the eastern european border.

Stoke - mid table.... nope 'Arry, thats a relegation fight right there. Swansea - safe... what the hell is this man talking about?!?! By default, he also has Arsenal as 7th, whilst tottenham are guaranteed top 4 apparently. The bloke is clueless. -
Romeu, JWP or Davis. Simple as that.
-
No, you are not, he delivers a good cross but needs to improve defensively. At the moment, if anyone runs at him with pace he gets rekt.

No direct come back? Just your naive opinion presented as a 'fact', quickly followed up be insults.

Get real mate, Les Reed is directly controlling the clubs strategy. To say otherwise is to be a ******* ostrich...
-
Well put. But needless to say... you're still going to need your steel hat on in this place.
-
We won't sell to Liverpool unless it's for crazy money. It's that or there will be "Les Reed out" protests very quickly after a bad start. Part of the reason they have got away with this crap since Cortese left is that they have an ambiguous command structure. Kat is in control but isn't. RK is in control but isn't... Les Reed is in actual control but is beneath those two... who do the fans actually blame? One thing is for sure, the wrong man lost his job this summer.

Are we actually linked with someone good?

Anyone who votes for Corbyn and McDonnell is voting both themselves, their children, and the rest of the country down the drain. It's the last thing the country needs and will damage the nation's finances and society. The IFS have just released a report stating that the financial gap between the richest and poorest has narrowed substantially since the last Labour government, and that is despite austerity and despite the basis of a lot of labours campaigning. Which was all lies, spin and/or uncosted promises frankly. No surprise that the working class voted tory, and the liberal elite earning 6-7 figure bbc salaries voted labour... The tories may not be your cup of tea... but by god, why the hell would you vote for Corbyn! Thats my political outlook anyway, often followed by the acknowledgement that he will win the next general election, we'll have 5-10 years of ultra left win misery, once again turn into the sick man of europe, and this time they'll be no way back. There is an obvious reason for the generational split between labour and tory voters... as you get older you get wiser (on average obviously).

Agreed. If he was given game time he could have settled into our best attacking outlet. Sadly we weren't prepared to take the risk. I hope he gets, and takes, that chance against west brom. (Just not against us). Was a terrible injury that struck down a great player in his prime.

My point, was that the "box" seems to sign a lot of players know to the manager. And the better managers have signed better players. Chicken or the egg? Coincidence?
-
You mean the MoPo/Cortese "box"...
