  1. Tactically clueless? F**k me you are an idiot. How do you explain how the man has managed 4 promotions in 6 years? Sheer luck. You really are a complete tard.
  2. The culprit?
  3. IT'S A BLOG FROM AN ECHO JOURNALIST!!! It's suddenly being taken as gospel. It isn't based on fact, and he even says it's his own opinion. It carries as much weight as me saying I think it's nothing to do with Cortese.
  4. I still don't see where this 'sh*t' opinion come from? Clyne? Clearly not. Ramirez? Clearly not. Davis? A fair few on here want him as Cpt - something I wouldn't mind personally. Yoshida looks decent enough. What's the total of that lot?
  5. I don't think they do. I'd rather quality that experience. Messi has never played in the PL, how many games has Heskey got under his belt (I'm too lazy to look it up)? Either way I know who I'd rather have in a heartbeat.
  6. This is entirely Cortese's fault. He is ruining the club. Since he took over the club have gone from bottom of L1 to the Prem in 3 years. Awful Chairman.
  7. Hang on a minute, The usual mongs with an axe to grind and a boner for every bad result are claiming that Cortese is running the show. This based on a blog from an echo reporter? A blog in which the reporter himself states quite explicitly that this is his OPINION, and not based on any fact. Simmer down you utter bores.
  8. Well we haven't yet have we?
  9. Change the record. You are ever so boring. Let me guess, I bet you also said we would not get promoted from L1, and then again last season? Am I right.
  10. Cortese out, Lowe in
  11. Talking of Anfield, Goodison is in a ****hole area also.
  12. This for me. I believe with GK's the shirt is theirs to lose. Gazza's performance on sat certainly warranted another crack at the very least.
  13. They have no Premiership experience, whereas Sharp has...
  14. It's a toughie, especially with Billy. He is a very, very likeable guy. And with what has happened to him, you can't help but want him to succeed. BUT, these things don't come into account when a club (or any business for that matter) is looking to grow/progress in that manner that our Management have stated. Nature of the beast I guess.
  15. Well that clearly isn't how it is though, is it? Adkins will clearly have a pretty good idea of Billy's abilities, having worked with him at Scunny & Saints these past few months. You know, day in, day out at the training ground. Nope, you're right. This decision will be made solely on the basis of those 15 mins. I'm almost willing to bet that if someone went through your post history there would be more than one post of you saying that there is no place for sentimentality if you want to grow (or words to those effect).
  16. The market maybe? A lack of activity in the market as a whole would suggest that perhaps market as a whole (CB's I mean) was over-inflated and therefore not many clubs felt it prudent to pay over the odds for CB's? It is often said that the transfer market is similar to the housing market, in that it is often a chain effect - one needs another for lots of deals to go through. Maybe?
  17. You make it sound like nothing else happened/was happening. Mayuka and Yoshi both came in also. As was also mentioned above, there may also have been other deals that fell through, as NA hinted at. So no. Clearly there was still the ability to get other deals done (but why bother looking at that eh?) and perhaps it just didn't go the way we wanted. Happens for clubs all over the world at every professional level. I'd suggest getting the jerk in that knee looked at.
  18. MLT really doesn't do himself any favours. It's so playground it's untrue. I know it's not entirely comparable, but, look at where gooey-eyed sentimentality got Liverpoo last season? Let memories stay in the past, and those in charge of the future handle it. Please boys, just put this all to bed.
  19. Sad to see the guy go. His goals in the run in were crucial to saints promotion. Good player, great bloke - I find him a really inspirational character. Thank you billy, and best of luck to ya. I'm sure he'll tear it up in the champ this year.
  20. Thanks mate, really enjoyed that! Cannot believe how far we have come in just over three years, it's truly staggering! Cortese has his doubters, but I think it's impossible to question he is the real deal. It's still so exciting to be a Saints fan! Three years ago I never thought saints would be back in the Prem, let alone challenging for these sorts of players. I certainly never thought I'd see us part with £12m+ on a single player. It's just such a shame Markus isn't here to witness it.
  21. Let's all plague dan walker on twitter, get him to mention it on football focus?
  22. There is no money to spend, Cortese is a joker just pretending to try and sign players, we aren't even going to get promoted this season.
  23. Even if saints signed all the players he wanted, picked the team he wanted & beat it'd 5-1, alps would have a hissyfit. Petulant brat.
  24. David McGoldrick to Coventry on loan. Oh dear.
