Poll: Is liking the chairman important to you?

Unsurprisingly, no point as usual. You mentioned entertainment, I show you how he has delivered entertainment. -

It's his job to facilitate the entertainment. Have his 3 years in charge been entertaining? A Wembley cup final win and 2 promotions. Opinions may differ, but to me that is pretty entertaining. Plus, lets face it, he has been entertaining. All his scrapes are quite entertaining. Even if in most cases they are multiplied 100 times on here to be made into much bigger deals than they actually are. And giving certain people here something to moan about. I'd bet Cortese has probably been subject of more threads/posts/discussions on here than anyone else since the take over. So in terms of entertainment, for me he scores pretty highly. -
The people has us linked with ex Chelsea boss.

Would be a kick in the teeth to those that hate the prem and want us back in the champ, if he were to come in and push us on. -

Haha. I didn't realise him and Cortese were pals. Interesting. As I've said before I'd like to see us stick with Adkins. I think recent performances have been better. I still believe that right now he can keep us up. -

I'm not entirely sure how much it was him that won the Champions League. I think he was unifying figure, that helped galvanise morale post AVB, and he deserves credit for that. However I have a feeling Terry, Lampard & Drogba were calling a lot of the shots. I could be wrong, as I say, it's just my feeling. Looking at WBA, their progress since his departure has been pretty much 'up and to the right'. Doubt too many now are still mourning the loss of Robbie. He did a decent job at MK Dons, and I'm sure he will have a decent career, I just find it hard to take too much on anybody from their time at Chelsea. He inherited the team he won with, and reverted to a style employed by mourinho, largely with his players. Yes he won the two cups, but was still not great in the league (6th). He had (IMO) little input on transfer policy, does any manager there? And it seems he was given instructions on team selection. -
How boring is this? Change the record gents. I doubt many, if any 'write them off' as it were. Perhaps they just aren't surprised, or see it as the end of the world if Saints do get beat. Or as a reason to start another moaning session about how useless the club, players and managers are. And how we are definitely going to get relegated from a league we don't want to be in.

Been too busy to play for a few weeks. Having a sesh now. Season two, team looks like this: Baumann Heggestad (Clyne injured again - unconvinced to be honest) Munoz Bocchetti Muniesa/lecjaks (gonna see who cements that spot Simao/Frimpong (got him on loan) Morgan Cork Lallana Ramirez Abel Hernandez Some good options too with Ginter, Viviano, Otavio to pick from. Had a pretty serious clear out, Lambert went for being rubbish and demanding 50k pw. Though squad is pretty small, got some good nippers come through and tried to pick up some the scouts found so will rely on them for cover. Sold Fox, Guly, Fonte, Davis, Jos, Yoshi, Sharp, Hammond, Seaborne & Punch. Let Boruc and Frazer go. Swansea went down and are now trying to be ex saints united. Signed Yoshi, Tadanari & Lambert off me! Beat boro 3-0 away opening day, so hoping for a good season!

Obsessed with Dylan Baldi at the moment. Saw Cloud Nothings few weeks ago and was blown away. Been listening to Attack on Memory since it came out. Also, cannot stop listening to his other band Chomp, and their album Buddha Jabba Momma (awful name, I know) is probs one of my faves of the year.
-
Bit gutted. Can't see them getting any worse. Just hope they don't get the new manager 'bounce'.

Goalkeeper will make the difference

Paul Robinson? http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/fulham-linked-with-paul-robinson-who-1451696 Always rated him myself. I'm not writing off Gazza (who I do believe is a good prospect) or Boruc, might not be a bad shout? -
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20462178 I really, really hate Rafa. Shocked he got that job to be honest considering his performances at the end of his LOLerpool days and time at Inter.

You might do. Away from the interwebs we may be secret BFFs. I'm not aware of your actual identity, and to my knowledge neither of you of mine. So, we may very well know each other...

Like someone else in the film managed to do? Wasn't a huge fan. Far too much metaphorical old vs new bull****. I'm still not convinced on Craig as Bond to be honest.
-
Tehehehehehe. That certainly tickled me

I wish anonymous actually pulled off their attack on Zynga the other week. I bloody hate Zynga. Good work this time though.

Whilst living in a student house we had our basement door kicked in during the night (lol) and our tele nicked off its bracket. Nothing else was touched, they even left all the wires/cables that went along with it. Even the ps3 which was connected and right next to the thing. Was worrying that my three housemates were in the house (asleep), being a student I was out getting blind drunk, and woke up to a police officer in my room standing over me. Which was rather confusing. Turns out they may have been in the house as I was stumbling through the front door, which is pretty worrying. I'm guessing it was at least two, as it was a big tv and ****ing heavy at that. Also, had my phone robbed out of my pocket in Barcelona t'other night. Jammy (albeit skilled) little bastards. Basically, I should stop drinking.

Still, nothing forces him to. Plenty out there with far more that do far less. On the field he could be horrible and frankly, embarrassing. But it's hard to question what he does off it.
-
Is there anyone you don't know?
-
Less than a season in charge and he won two of the biggest cup competitions available. But yeah, that comparison definitely works.
-
No, but he did donate his entire Champions League winners bonus to building hospitals in the Ivory Coast.

Saints legend. I genuinely love the bloke (yeah, I would, and what?!). Favourite goal was that one against my dons away in his first season. Sheer class. Down on his chest, absolutely leathered it from 30+ yards. Not his most important, but my word it was a stunner. That or those against Milwall last season. This was the point I was convinced we would go up.
-
100% this. Would be a shame to see the guy go, but as Alps said, perfectly understandable.
-
Can't be true, the bbc hate Southampton.

If you plan to be so condescending, my advice would be to learn the difference between advice and advise. But yes, clearly I am the ****w!t here, right. The difference in that I am using hyperbole to make a point. You lot take one guys leap from A to Z as absolute proof to justify your constant complaining about the people overseeing an extremely successful period in the clubs history. Better luck next time.
