Agreed. We have clearly stated we do not want to sell. But if our most prized asset chooses to sulk, the most logical thing for the board to do would be to sell and get in players who can actually contribute to the squad. Blame is 100% on VVD, okay and maybe Liverpool. How anyone can see this as something to blame LR (again) is beyond me

All players should prepare 100% regardless. Personally, I feel its good man-management as it means all players are kept on their toes right till 90 mins before kick off. Would you rather have a 'mentally unprepared' player starting the game should a starter suffer an injury the day of kick off?

If Man City chooses to bid the amount set in the buy back clause, the buying club would have no choice but to accept the bid (even if it does not want to sell) and leave the player to decide if he wants to stay or return to Man City. There is also a possibility of a cancellation fee in which the buying club can then pay a pre agreed amount to cancel said buy back clause
