Relegation, a statistical analysis...
ollysaints1 replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
I am not sure if we will we stay up, but im willing to bet that, in typical Southampton fashion, we will be playing for our place on the last day. -
If you look at our starting 11 today and then Fulhams, id say its a point gained, there team is still considerably better than ours. Also there away record will improve under Martin Jol, just as he did with Spurs.

Good for you, the thread you make every week is complaining that not every ticket is slod, why do you care? and why does it bother you so much?
-
You blab on about attendance every home game, if your that bothered get off your arse and go to the game, then you've done your bit, stop worrrying or moaning about what other people do, as i said, you make a thread every week, its boring.
-
i wish Turkish would give it a rest about home crowds, its so boring. we rarely sold out games in the premier league 7 years ago, our fan base has hardly increased after 6 seasons in league 1 and the championship (the majority of which were unsuccessful seasons). so why would our attendance all of a sudden boost?, only people who support the team will go to games, we dont have that many fans. get over it.
-
Are all the lower tear definitely sold? me and my dad were going to buy tickets on the day...are we sure the upper tear are'nt for sale?
-
Cant believe people on here are saying a crowd of nearly 31,000 is a poor turn out?. you realise that was pretty much our average attendance in the premier league throughout our entire time at St Marys. 31,000 is pretty much as good as it can get for us, so stop moaning.

My Great Uncle is very close friends with Leon Crouch. Knows alot about his sacrifices during our struggling seasons, Leon put around £2.5 million into the club to stop us going into administration in 2008 and also around £300,000 to keep us going when we were in administration. All his own money that he knew he would never get back. apparently he is one of very few people who does get reductions from Cortese for tickets, he might even get them for free. (im not sure)
-
I mentioned Danny Gabbidon a while back, i think people may start to realise my logic.
-
what even is the issue between them?, is it over free tickets?
-
i need people to assure me that we will stay up this season

So then, who's the final signing...
ollysaints1 replied to Dibden Purlieu Saint's topic in The Saints
Im thinking it could be someone like Matthew Kilgallon?, left footed and wants/needs to play regular games. also doesn't seem to be favoured at Sunderland -

anyone got any news on the potential centre half Nigel wants? -
Billy Sharp - Joins Notts Forest on Season Long Loan
ollysaints1 replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Thought we would get close to £4,000,000 for Sharp if we were to sell him. Forest getting a bargain -
"in forum jokes" wow, that has to be a new all time low

you realise that when asking for a *source of information you spell it as "source" not "sauce". a sauce is like HP or Daddy's

meeting between Ramirez and Bologna is for Bologna to hand over his registration to his agent.
-
The reason we turned down sky was because the club have got better things to be doing with 1 day of the tranasfer window left than having to play a match that we dont care about, as well as catering to a bunch of journalists getting in the way.

Emmanuel Mayuka - Officially Signed on OS - Work Permit Confirmed
ollysaints1 replied to S-Clarke's topic in The Saints
I think QPR will probably get Mayuka ahead of us if im honest -
Unfortunatley for those Bologna fans, there is very little that they can do at this point. He wants our contract and Bologna have all ready bought a player they can not afford without the sale of Ramirez.
-
Mayuka is pretty good, he played at the african cup of nations i think? , i might be getting names mixed up though?
-
might cheer people up to know that after 4 games last season Swansea only had 2 points last season, everyone was saying they were certain for relegation. If we finish with 2 less points than Swansea achieved last season we will be fine.
-
The fact we had just come from League 1 had nothing to do with us not winning the league. what cost us the league was the spell between December and February where we only won about 4 games. Our squad was more than capable of winning the league, and probably should have done
-
7 days left but probably only about 5 left to get players in, we never do anything on weekends. still enough time though.

Whats the info Turkish has?, are we closer to Oyston looking at his phone messages?
