Saints stay up Lowe leaves Southampton forever Skates go down Spuds go down
-
If the general agreement is to boycott I'll boycott. These things only work if people get behind them en masse.
-
SCW is involved with the Olypic team now so would be highly unlikely to give that up for a return to SMS. And there is no way we could afford him anyway. Conservative estimates put his salary at upwards of 300K last time. But Rupert is clearly not in control of all his marbles so who knows.

I remember Chorley from SISA meetings of old. And yes he can bore the tits off playboy bunny when he goes off on one, but he's prepared to stand up and be counted, and has done so on many occasions. Lobbing some coins at Lowe was a fair gesture, and frankly, Lowe deserved a lot more than a handful of coins thrown at him.

Would you BOYCOTT? Ways to get rid of Lowe and the board
docker-p replied to Wes Tender's topic in The Saints
I would support a match boycott, but a mass late arrival is a good start and more likely to get fans involved. I also like the idea of a getting at Lowes other business interests. Also a letter writing campaign to SLH bank manager at Barclays making him aware how many more paying fans there would be if Lowe was ousted would get the ball rolling, -
It's worth noting that the other week at Burnley the team got a right mouthful from the travelling support as they trooped off at half time, 3 goals down. They came out and 'won' the second half 2-0. Sometimes you gotta call a spade a spade.

Lets put aside all the countless fvck ups Lowe made in his first period as chairman. Second time around he bowls up and lets go Nigel Pearson (a manager running away with the League we'll soon be in with Leicester, and a manager who seemed to have united the fan base) and installs a no mark manager from the Dutch 4th division, sells or loans out half the squad to cut costs, without realising if you put out a reserve side not many people will want to watch. Result 5K fewer turn up, and his cost cutting is back to square one. Remember, by his own words, he is not a football fan, or a Saints fan just a businessman. Well if your stock in trade is running plcs they don't come much smaller than a plc with a market cap of £6m. The man is a failure.

For a start we still averaged 25K in our first season down. And I think you'll find the average adult ticket price for NFFC and LUFC a lot cheaper than at SMS. While on the subject of attendances did anyone notice the banks of empty seats at Fratton for their game against Newcastle. And their FA Cup holders and in the premiership !!!!! And the offical attendance given was 19K +...LMAO

I prefer : Southampton 1885

You could ask him if he has a plan 'B' now that his plan 'A' ( cut costs, appoint Dutch coach, blood youngsters) has failed miserably. My guess is he hasn't.
-
I have no crystal ball, but i think had we stuck with Nigel Pearson we would be in the top half of the league and there would be 5,000 more fans turning up. Just a guess of course. What is a fact is Lowes cost cutting has resulted in 5,000 fewer punters which has left him where he started with regard to the balance sheet, and no more costs available to trim. And no hope of promotion.
-
While you were there you could have asked Lowe how much of SLH money he spent on pr companies defending his position as chairmen. Or how much more of a salary he draws than the last Chairmen?
-
This is possibly the lamest thread since St Andrew was boring everyone. The biggest threat to SFC ever and you want to keep it to one sticky, so all other threads can pretend that all is well bar the odd yellow card?
-
I've got a question for Wilde.... Were you born without a spine or did you loose it along the way?
-
Lowe sells off our best players to balance the books, but fails to factor in, again, the consequences. Asking fans to pay £24 a ticket to watch reserve team football means gates dwindle by 5K. And so to balance the books, Lowe is going to do the same again ie; sell our best players without factoring in the consequences; again. Result, relegation and fewer fans still. Thus Lowe sells anything thats left ....etc etc etc etc. If the man had brains he would be dangerous, instead he is just a calamity. And as for Spineless Mike Wilde.....
-
Wrong bloke at the wrong time. But thats the way Lowe does things.
-
So when 5 years ago we, we were at an FA Cup final, and riding high in the Premiership, and now we're loosing £1m a month and are one place of Division 3 (old), and you think St Richmond is scare mongering!!!!??? Earth to planet Alanh..... come in.......
-
Get over yourself ffs. Yeah I would go along with all Toomers wish list, any order would do. However the Lucy Pinder thought is far more likely for each of us.
-
I agree, and that loss of unity is why, in part, there are 5K fewer fans this season.
-
Because of Lowes policies, 5K fewer people are coming through the turnstiles than last season. Thus RL needs to sell are best players, thus we will win fewer games, thus we will be relegated, thus fewer people will come through the turnstiles thus RL will have to sell more players, thus we'll win less games etc etc etc etc..... Lowe, what a businessman!
-
Getting rid of Lowe would be a major saving off the wage bill. Money grabbing bastard.
-
Didn't Jones slap him?
-
There is as much chance of Lowe being either that far sighted or indeed that generous, as Father Christmas descending my chimney wearing a pink tutu dancing and Hey-nonny-nonny.
-
Turning a profit is all Lowe wants, not footballing success. If RL can get a successful academy producing a Theo, Bale etc every season and sold on to the Premiership for a profit he'll be more than happy for us to dwindle into league 1 or 2
