Ask the Chinese or the Russians.

This is becoming somewhat repetitive. Trump was elected democratically, Hitler was elected democratically. Does the first fact legitimise Trump any more than the second legitimised AH ? Being elected does not mean your actions and behaviours are beyond scrutiny.
-
The point was made in response to repeated bleats of "Trump was elected democratically", as if everything else about him that is nauseous and repulsive is excused by that one simple fact. It isn't comparing Trump with Hitler, per se, but the potential for demcratic systems to be abused and manipulated, resulting in divisive and potentially dangerous outcomes.
-
Why ?
-
So you agree, Hitler came to power democratically. It may have been a "different system", but then the systems that elected BoJo, Macron, and Merkel are all democratic yet different.
-
Hitler was elected to power via democratic votes, asked to become Chancellor by President Hindenberg, but once in power began to corrupt and dismantle democratic processes and institutions.
-
You keep reminding us that DT won a democratic vote, and nobody is disputing it. I would, however, point out that Hitler came to power via democratic votes. Just because an electoral system presents a variation on Majority Rule, ( and Trump, like most US and UK leaders did not get a majority of the popular vote ), doesn't mean it's procedures and results can't be questioned.
-
All Trump's victory showed was if you are a beer swilling, gun toting, pickup driving, redneck, you'll never vote for a woman.

Why pick on Hypo specifically ? π

If you look up 'patronising' in the dictionary, does it say 'ITK' ?

I don't question the Brexit vote, I just think it will prove to be a mistake.
-
Nigel Farage said a few days before the Brexit vote that that if the referendum was close, for instance 52%-48% in favour of remain, his fight would go on. Mind you, Trump certainly is a wanker, and a cnut ( how does that work ? )

Why not, your 2 comments are mutually exclusive.

Correct !

What exactly is 'special' about the relationship between the UK and the USA ? They kicked us out in 1776, invaded British Canada in 1812 and 1815, came into WW1 3 years late, only came into WW2 when Japan attacked them and Hitler was mad enough to declare war on them - ( and the US ambassador in London, Pres Kennedy's father, was pro Nazi ), and screwed us over with Lease-Lend, ( we only paid off their loans in 2006 ).. And if Biden is a Socialist, Tony Blair was an extremist Communist. ( PS; Our oldest ally is Portugal. )

What a blinder DT has played ! βΊοΈπ

CNN now calling Biden the President Elect after he wins Pennsylvania.

Whilst this is technically correct, all the evidence so far suggests that the officials won't do it.

Some weird and frightening stories coming out; A police captain has resigned after he posted on social media that he wanted Democrat supporters beheaded, and their heads set on spikes as a warning. In Atlanta an election worker has gone into hiding after he was videod, presumably by one of the observers, throwing away a scrap of waste paper - the person returning the voting forms had included the instructions on how to fill in the forms. The video was posted on social media, which incorrectly identified the piece of paper as a ballot form. The worker has received death threats, as his name, address, and car registration have been widely circulated.

And the Phew were clearly doing so well before the lockdown. π

He is not a left wing back, so is playing within his limitations, probably under Raplh's orders.

Stephens' lack of a left foot ( other than for standing on ) means we are very right side biased in attack.
