  1. I know, and when Stevenage confirm it next week by removing the last possible scrap of hope I will give a little cheer.
  2. They need 4 wins in their last 4 games to have a mathematical chance of the play offs.
  3. Not the best performance but exactly the right result, and the right goal scorers. Pressure on Liverpool & Spurs to keep up.
  4. Not from a corner.
  5. Brave choice.
  6. They can in Michael Gove's world.
  7. 32 years ago I started out as a programmer, on proper computers - they filled rooms and you fed them punched cards. 3 years later I moved into 'proper' IT, doing operating systems and network configuration & management. Obviously I lacked those 3 great virtues or I would have stayed with the easy life.
  8. So, which party is going to clamp down on lazy code monkeys and feckless Business Analysts ?
  9. This - you should get something displayed unless the MoBo is completely u/s. What MoBo do you have ? Does the system show any other signs of life, eg does the LED on the optical drive flash as it is polled by POST, does the HDD spin up ?
  10. Exactly, contrary to Torres' post, the minority did indeed hold sway.
  11. Most Governments in the UK are elected with less than 50% of the electorate voting for them.
  12. So, if you are a committed Labour voter in a seat with a 30,000 Tory majority, does your vote count ? ( Or vice versa for balance ).
  13. Worse than Baldwin or MacDonald ?
  14. Well I'm doing my bit - I've just been made redundant !
  15. More UKIP dirty tricks ; http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-hampshire-32234567 "A UKIP parliamentary candidate is to be questioned over allegations he tried to influence voters by giving away sausage rolls at a party event"
  16. This applies to just about anything spouted by a politician during an election campaign, it's not restricted to any particular party.
  17. The quality of your wit is astounding.
  18. The 3 boat option was considered as part of the MOD's study of options for the replacement program : https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/212745/20130716_Trident_Alternatives_Study.pdf It is stated that this is a viable option, but will not give exactly the same level of deterrence as CASD. So hardly 'mealy mouthed'.
  19. With a lowercase 'c' it would imply a humanist with liberal views, so quite possibly. #grammarpoliceonpatrol
  20. meerkat
  21. relevant
  22. No, you queried whether the 'Tory party' had said it : And there is plenty of evidence that DC has blethered on, incorrectly, about the UK deficit being the biggest in the G7, G20, developed world ( delete as appropriate ).
  23. 'Call me Dave' may not have done, but listen to Georgie Porgie in the first embedded audio clip ; https://sturdyblog.wordpress.com/2011/03/30/audio-blog-the-biggest-lie-in-british-politics/ " George Osborne makes a similar claim, with regard to National Debt this time, in a Press Release on the Conservative Party website with regard to the National Debt: “Responding to the release of ONS figures showing the true scale of UK national debt, Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, George Osborne said: ‘It’s official – Britain now has the highest national debt in the developed world.'”" ( Funnily enough the linked document is one of many that have mysteriously disappeared from the Tory's website ).
