  1. Love to, but the 240 mile warm up would be a killer
  2. Or just follow Bill & Ted - 'be excellent to each other'.
  3. It goes all the way back to Henry V setting out for the french campaign that finished at Agincourt.
  4. Sacha G's property unit which owns the land around Fortress Fatpipies, and which is itself in administration - spot the common theme ?
  5. They did mention that Rodriguez hadn't ridden on the rest day,but had spent the day in bed. Now I understood that it is perceived wisdom that they need to ride for a few hours even on the rest day to keep the 'engine' tuned, so perhaps he was ill.
  6. Wasn't Roy @ the ManUre game ? Who was he watching ?
  7. Rodriguez got that one totally wrong, but where were his team ? There were at least 2 each from Saxo-Bank and Moviestar in the leading groups right up to the finish - loved the gesture of satisfaction from the Saxo rider on Purito's wheel as they crossed the line.
  8. Ramirez and Mayuka will be taking pressure off the defence as we will be playing keep ball in the oppo's half.
  9. Isn't he 2 feet too short for them ?
  10. It's a course designed for the Spanish, the climb in Andorra was Rodriguez's local road. And as for yesterday - it looked like somebody had had a 'bright' idea, "let's tarmac 3 Km of a ski slope just to add a bit of extra pain".
  11. At least you can't spoonerise him now.
  12. Ooops,, but the point still stands - top 6 in the Champ is still not Premier 'quality'. After all, Jose finished 2nd in that division.
  13. Yet people elsewhere on this forum were saying we should bring in Scott Dann or Curtis Davies, both of whom got relegated last season, or even Rhys Williams who has spent the best part of his career in the Championship. Hopefully he was properly scouted and assessed, and isn't, as some are suggesting, a marquee to boost Japanese support.
  14. Wouldn't happen at Fartton Krap
  15. Back to the OP : she was apparently framed by a local muslim cleric : http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/video/2012/sep/02/pakistani-mullah-arrested-framing-blasphemy-girl-video?newsfeed=true http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/sep/03/christian-girl-senior-pakistani-cleric-blasphemy?newsfeed=true

    Not Scholes ?
  17. I think J-Rod should have been the replacement for SRL, Mayuka for Lallana ( IF, and only if, it was truly necessary - but in that I have to trust NA ), and probably then wait 5 minutes before Lee replaced Puncheon. Guly shouldn't be brought on to play the 'defend from the front' role, he's not that sort of player. But at the time he made the decisions, Nigel beleived that these were the right moves, and it is only with hindsight that we can find cause to question his motives.
  18. At this rate SRL will score 25 league goals this season !
  19. GK, kind of you to ask. And adrenaline won't prevent 'lactic' legs from failing the owner when an urgent burst of acceleration is needed.
  20. It's easy to be a 'plastic'. No emotional attachment, no swings from the 'high' to the 'lows'. No glorying in the unexpected triumphs, or dismay at ballsing up the easiest of 'banker' matches. If by some miracle ManUre were to find themselves relegated, they'd soon switch to Chelski or perhaps even Citeh.
  21. That the players he took off were knackered and the introduction of fresh legs would enable us to chase more effectively and counter attack more quickly. Of the 3 I would probably only question the replacement of Lallana, and would not have brought on Guly.
  22. We are stuck with him until January, but hopefully no nearer the pitch than the subs bench once Yoshi is available. In the window move him on and bring in a quality replacement.
  23. So the introduction of Paul Scholes didn't have anything to do with the improved performance by Man Utd ?
  24. So who takes the credit for the 'superb football' ? Surely it can't be the manager.
