You're missing the one from the City Council

With apologies to RallyBoy, ( who set's a very high standard ), but I just couldn't get the image out of my mind - so here is my humble offering...... [ I'm sure you've all seen that scene in the Blues Brothers with John Belushi and Carrie Fisher in the tunnel under the nightclub ] ..........after a burst of sanctions from the FL, the Pompey fan rises to his webbed feet, covered in mud from the portsea swamp Jake Skate: It's good to see you, sweetheart. FL: You contemptible pig! I maintained integrity for you. I stood in the background of the admin process, waiting, in integrity, for you, with three hundred creditors and charities you'd ripped off. I allowed AA to get away with diluting HMRC's claim with 20p owed to Qatar Airways. To delay the inevitable, I allowed you to rip up the unaffordable contracts of your entire first team. So for me, for my competition, my other member clubs, my fans, my future, and for the common good, I must now kill you. [Jake Skate falls to his knees] Jake Skate: Oh, please, don't kill us! Please, please don't kill us! You know I love you baby. I wouldn't leave ya. It wasn't my fault! FL: You miserable slug! You think you can talk your way out of this? You betrayed me. Jake: No, I didn't. Honest... I just ran out of luck. I... I had a fake sheikh. I didn't have enough money for the cab fare for Riquelme. My trainees didn't come through from the youth team. Chanrai came back in from out of town. Someone stole my car park. There was Cala. A terrible flood from the fat clogged pipes. The FAPPT ! IT WASN'T MY FAULT, I SWEAR TO GOD! [Fans of other L1 clubs cover their heads in anticipation of liquidation, Jake Skate removes his sunglasses to make a wordless appeal, and the FL visibly softens] FL: Oh, Jake... Jake, honey... [Jake embraces the FL and they kiss]

What would be an acceptable score on Monday
badgerx16 replied to Miltonroader07's topic in The Saints
How many opening games have we won in the last 20 years ? To be fair, beating Wigan is far more important, and possibly a draw with the Arse : 4 points from the opening 4 games would be very much 'on target' so long as we aren't tanked by Citeh and Manure and end up with a GD of -12 by the end of the month. -
Judging by some of the comments on here, if it's confirmed there will be plenty of 'sticky' due to this thread.

Pinch me I think I'm dreaming.

Is that the secured or unsecured creditors ?

http://www.journalonline.co.uk/Magazine/48-12/1000674.aspx#.UC1TW7XSgoM "In England, the position is similar in the divisions below FAPL, whereby the Football League, which administrates the divisions, has approved new regulations forming an “Insolvency Policy” commencing in season 2004-05. In this policy, sporting sanctions may be applied, namely the deduction of up to 10 points automatically upon a club entering administration, along with a maximum time period of 18 months in which a club may be permitted to remain in administration before membership of the league is terminated." That's a brick wall across the tracks on August 13th next year.

Having never had one I didnt realise

Obviously, but you would never know unless somebody else 'quoted' them on the thread.

Women are “complementary” to men, instead of equal
badgerx16 replied to Saint in Paradise's topic in The Muppet Show
As compared to the old constitution ? : "The rally came on the anniversary of the passage of the Personal Status Code (CSP) of 1956, which established equality between women and men, abolished polygamy and the practice of repudiation, under which husbands could divorce simply by saying so three times. It instituted judicial divorce and required mutual consent of both parties for a marriage" -
They have to be out of admin on the day before the kick-off of next season. ( This is from a football perspective, not sure how company law sees anybody running in administration for more than 12 months )
-
Done some digging on the 'quality' of their latest 'quantity' : ( admittedly courtesy of Wikipedia )..... Izale MacLeod released from L2 Barnet Kieran Djilali released from L2 AFC Wimbledon Mustapha Dumbuya 10 apearances last season for Doncaster Jon Harley released from L2 Rotherham Brian Howard released by Reading ( last played on loan at Millwall 26th December 2011 ) Lee Williamson released by Sheff Utd Simon Eastwood released by Conference North Halifax Jack Compton released from Falkirk ( 'tore up his contract' ) Luke Rodgers released by Lillestrom ( and has had at least 3 arrests for assault or public order ) Liam Walker from Gibraltar

That is the FL's point, they should at least have been asked.

He's gone native.

It seems that some on here have forgotten this : http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/16943651 PFC were docked 10 in February, when they entered administration. The additional deduction is a condition of being allowed to continue at the end of the admin process. There will be one of 2 conclusions; firstly somebody does take them over and the -10 is enforced ( we know to our cost how successful a 'challenge' to this are likely to be ); the alternative is that they go pop no later than next August, as they cannot be in admin at the start of next season. Remember that Birch is bound to run them within their means, his company are directly liable for any losses.

I'm confused....... Fact 1 ) TB is charged with getting the best return for creditors Possible fact 2 ) BC is a creditor ( I think ) Fact 3) The best deal for BC is to get his charge over Fortress Fatpipes repayed in full Fact 4) TB is hoping to enable PST's takeover, inlcuding buying the ground, for as much ( as little ? ) as they can afford Does TB therefore not have a conflict of interest ?
-
Maybe they are being signed on monthly contracts simply because they have 1 month's money available. After that they can re-assess their financial situation, based on how 'packed' the park is, and renew as many or as phew of these players they can afford for the next 30 days.
-
You cannot start a 2nd successive season in the same admin process.
-
"I am getting lots of phone calls from players and agents of players who want to come here for nothing" Now that really is living within their means ! "But it remains to be seen whether all players offered terms will accept." If they're willing to come for nothing, where's the problem ?
