Blackpool report Saints over Phillips approach
badgerx16 replied to SuperMikey's topic in The Saints
The Gazette makes the Daily Fail look like the fount of all knowledge. The editorial standard is probably worse than the Pompey Pravda. -
But bronze when it gets to the crunch. Still, well done Tom.

Isn't the cup game with Plymouth on Wednesday ?

Blackpool report Saints over Phillips approach

Other than the ever unreliable Daily Mail, and the fantasy world of our local rag 'The Gazette', where and when did Saints actually get 'outed' as the 'unnamed Premier League team' ? -

This is true, Bloomfield Road only had 3 when I drove past yesterday, it also only has 3 1/2 stands, and I'm sure when I'm back at work on Monday morning it won't have changed. ( Please don't p!ss them off too much in a message board flame war, I do have to work there ). -
Is this not against EU consumer law ? Don't these things have to be 'opt in' ?

Sometimes they do, it all depends on the state of the race - in the above case it was very early on, and a significant part of the field lined that hedge so they all got back together before the serious racing began.

It's OK if you're an Olympic cyclist...

Just got back after a 70 miler - 4 and 1/2 hours to complete the longest ride I've done. Plenty of aftersun required. http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/120290069

Nick, how much money do you think Chinny will actually put into the club ? He cannot carry his debt forward into 'yet-another-newco', so we all assume that he will milk the PPs, but to do this he needs to keep putting the 10Ps in the meter for the life support machine, thus diluting his return. As far as I see he has 2 options, should he return : (1) do just enough to keep them ticking over for 2 years, or (2) sh!t or bust for climbing the league ladder as quickly as possible to boost the clubs earning potential and value. Option (1) means that Appy is likely to remain 'un-' as he gets bugger all transfer kitty, and take into account the FL's apparent financial handcuffs. Option 2 is high risk, and I don't think Chinny will take any more chances.

This is a Socialist Workers Co-operative Forum now - what's this 'vote' concept ?
-
The 'taters on Express FM can't see why the PCC valuation of FatPipe Park differs from Chinny's.

So if you were an office worker at FP, what do you do tomorrow morning ?

On the basis of that post I've just put it on hoping for a repeat statement. TBH is playing !

They are, but I cannot elaborate on a public forum. -
So whilst the fat lady starts to gargle, the last act approaches the stage..........

If you get the chance watch the VP documentary on the Beeb website - she speaks about Mears' 'physical' style of riding. From what I can remember of yesterday's commentary they said that the leaning on is part of sprinting so technically Mears did nothing wrong, and therefore 'technically' VP broke the rules. Harsh, yes, but the comissaire's decision is final. Oh, and you are starting to sound a bit too obsessive.

Who Is The Worst Company you Have Had The Misfortune To Have To Deal With
badgerx16 replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
Yes, but they are using UK based numbers that redirect back to wherever they are based. We had one an hour earlier than 'Cynthia' where the chap on the other end told my wife he was called Keith from Scottish Power and he could save us money on our gas bill - we don't have gas. -
Well I'm an avowed Republican, and I don't.

Quotes from the Sky article : "Morrissey was also heavily critical of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in June, comparing her reign to a dictatorship and describing the celebrations as "a new lesson in the force of tyranny": Morrissey spouting b0ll0cks and completely misunderstanding the nature of a Constitutional Monarchy. "The 'dazzling royals' have, quite naturally, hijacked the Olympics for their own empirical needs": Headline grabbing sensationalist nonsense. "As London is suddenly promoted as a super-wealth brand, the England outside London shivers beneath cutbacks, tight circumstances and economic disasters.": I can see his point - I do not think that nationally the 'legacy' will amount to much, and there is an element of distraction from economic realities. As the Romans put it "Bread and Circuses". The allusion to Germany in 1939 is about the power of propaganda, although he could have picked a less contentious example.
