That would be too obvious....

He came here in 1993 and claimed asylum on the grounds that he was escaping torture in Jordan. WRT the current situation, at the previous court hearing, the Home Secretary was told that she had to obtain stronger binding assurances from the Jordanian legal system that none of the contentious evidence would be used in any trial. It seems that the lack of these assurances is what is blocking the extradition.

Correct, but there seems to be a discrepancy around when one season ends and another one starts. There is evidently an FL rule that states a season ends at the final whistle of the final match, ( end of April / beginning of May ), yet the new season doesn't seem to start until July 1st, ( as evidenced in the Stockport case ). I assume this gap between dates defines the 'close season'. It seems that as the Pompey case is a special circumstance, the FL are creating a new interpretation of how to enforce their rules, and the reality is that Portsmouth cannot exit this season in admin, rather than not entering the next.
-
With regard to the date by which they must exit admin, Stockport avoided entering their 2nd consecutive season by exiting admin on 17th June 2010. I suspect that technically the date is 30th June, ( set in reference to the date of the FL AGM ), but in Pompey's case I think the FL are still making it up as they go along.

2 points : Firstly the average pension for a public sector worker is @£4000, though as has been pointed out taking an average proves nothing. Second, lumping all public sector pensions into one line of argument is flawed; the Local Government schemes are self-funded and place no liability on the tax payer, the teachers scheme is ( I think ) similarly structured. This liability is for the Civil Service schemes, which are non-contributory and totally dependent on the treasury, and I think such things as the armed forces and the judiciary.

No oil or gas, nor access to the mineral potential of Antarctica. -
And there is the problem with this line of argument. Mind you, if this period of play ran like the rest of the games we would still have conceded 5 or 6 goals, so we would probably have less than those extra 10 points anyway.

If we can maintain Saturday's peformance : March 30 Chelsea (H) Draw April 6: Reading (A) Draw April 13: West Ham (H) Win April 20: Swansea (A) Lose April 27: West Brom (H) Win May 4: Tottenham (A) Lose May 12: Sunderland (A) Draw May 19: Stoke (H) Win But this is Saints so we won't make it easy on ourselves. Still, we are in control of our own destiny.

Been busy all day so no match thread and no live stream - did I miss something ? :) And Redkrapp is now further away ( points wise ) from safety than when he took over 17 games ago. Money well spent.

But is prayer the answer ? The ease of access to guns arms not just sociopaths but also religious extremists who, through prayer, believe that they can best do God's work with a Bible, ( other religious texts are available ), in one hand and a machine gun in the other. -
Sometimes gets too close to his opponent and gets conned into giving away soft free kicks, but he is improving and never gives less than a fully committed shift. Played out of position today and didn't let anybody down, ( other than his crossing ).

There you go. -
Finishing let us down today, thought we bossed it and played well.

I start every game optimistic, but switch to pessimism every time we concede a corner or free kick. I anticipate each game to be a win, but am never completely surprised if they turn into defeats. Such is the lot of an SFC fan.
