Any true Saints fan would put COYS.

Cod 3 Skates 1. As the seagull flies I live a mile and a half downwind from the ground, so we've kept the windows shut all afternoon.

Well it's a weak point - there is probably more excitment at the prospect of testing ourselves against the 'big boys', and possibly a degree of complacency in the build up to matches like today's, but to think that such a game doesn't matter is bull - why was I on the edge of my seat when it had gone to 3-2, Lovren had hobbled off to leave us a man short, and they got their long throw opportunity with 1 minute of added time to go ?
-
How many Newcastle fans will be at their next home game despite it 'meaning very little' ? Given how poorly, comparatively, their season has been, I surprised that ManUtd aren't playing at an empty OT. I'm a Saints SUPPORTER and every game matters - what about you ?

Well he's 1 for 1 so far.

They're very strange over on the dark side.

Left Sot'on for Uni @ 18, married at Uni and moved up to God's Own County, and have now spent twice as long living up here as I spent down there, so whilst it's a nice place to visit, and many of my family are down there, my wife and children are up here, and I'm quite settled. However, nothing will take the Red&White out my heart. ( On a side note, I got bloody annoyed the other night watching University Challenge when Paxman kept referring to one team as South-hampton ).

The drinks are on you then ?

We're a provincial club, and most media pundits hold that view - a suitable peg on which to hang such tags as 'plucky', 'honest', and 'hard working', ( hopefully we've moved on from 'struggling' and 'relegation threatened' ). To my mind Saints are of similar 'size' to Stoke and Derby, so do you think Stoke haven't won as much as they should have ? Certainly Derby did well to win their 2 league titles in the 70's, but their recent history isn't much to write home about.
-
I'm trying to gauge how we measure 'a club our size' - is it catchment area, years in the top flight, or financial clout ( hence the Dell reference ).
-
How do you define this ? Are we bigger than Middlesborough, ( 1 cup win ) ? QPR, ( 1 cup win ) ? Or even Hull, ( no major trophies ) ? You need to remember we have spent at least half of those 100 years in the lower divisions, and most of our top flight years were at the Dell.

How many similar threads do they have on Man Utd forums ? Or after yesterday, Man City's ?

Or just give GS his own sub-forum. .
