  1. You are the voice of the people in your head.
  2. But in this instance I think we may actually hold the same opinion on this chap's immigration status: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-lancashire-12007100
  3. Brilliant blog about Leo McKinstry, author of dunCe's 'brilliant article' : http://tabloid-watch.blogspot.com/2009/10/leo-mckinstry-and-bnp.html
  4. Angles
  5. Watched one last night that is close, Dogma. ( Damn it's tough to stick to 3. )
  6. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=32038 http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/horsecare/1376/98233.html I think you need to talk to the council
  7. So why are you included then ?
  8. But surely the capitalist way would be to drive down UK wages to make them more 'competitive' ? As Wade says, we are now beholden to the foreign suppliers, who can manipulate supply and price to suit themselves, and the Polish stuff is significantly inferior in quality.
  9. Conservative Party leadership election 2005: first round ballot David Cameron wins support of 56 out of 198 MPs ( 28.3% ) second round DC wins support of 90 out of 198 MPs ( 45.4% ) party vote, DC wins 67.6% of the votes cast, so the MPs got the leaders they wanted !
  10. I think dunCe has been buying pharmaceuticals from those dodgy Chinese websites again. As for Maggie, the first drag artist to get elected Prime Minister anywhere in the world.
  11. You have a shock in store, trust me.
  12. You really are a DUNcE.
  13. Just like Devon County Council ? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-11997631 As posted on the Greedy Tories thread : "The council has calculated it is losing far more than the 2% originally presented by Communities Secretary Eric Pickles on Monday. It said it is looking at a 12% funding cut, meaning it will have £26m less to play with." EDIT: I know of another Tory council, local to me, who are similarly stating that Pickles is being 'economical with the truth' over his headline figures, and that their cut is nearly twice what was published on Monday, as the figures produced by the Dept for Communities miss out a lot of grants and opportunity funding, and fail to account for the impact of inflation given the Council Tax freeze that has been imposed.
  14. Most benefit fraud is committed by landlords - in the main it is to them that the money is paid.
  15. A Tory controlled county council says that Pickles' figures published on Monday are misleading : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-devon-11997631 "The council has calculated it is losing far more than the 2% originally presented by Communities Secretary Eric Pickles on Monday. It said it is looking at a 12% funding cut, meaning it will have £26m less to play with"
  16. Just to put this into context, based on what I heard on the financial reports on the radio this morning; This new report is based on certain presumptions over the rate of inflation and the performance of bonds and stocks. According to a talking head on 'Wake up to Money' on R5Live, ( other radio stations are available ), there is a potential flaw in the method used as it assumes that the performance of these areas will continue into the forseable future at the current level, with low yields and low interest rates. The manager of the London Pension Scheme countered by saying it was a particularly pessimistic view of how things would develop, and that the forecasts of the people managing the schemes do not agree with this particular individual.
  17. I expect you to go straight round to their offices tomorrow and indicate exactly which parts of the 'scroungers support plan' they should immediately curtail, and which non-jobs should be pruned, to cover this loss of finance.
  18. Southampton reduction = £9.6 million, -4.37% Hampshire reduction = £7.8 million, -0.95% Unfortunately there is no county of Merseyside, they are all Unitaries, like So'ton, : Knowsley -10.72%, Liverpool City -11.34%, Sefton ( Southport ) -6.74%, Wirral -7.42%, .
  19. I'll say it because it's true. Have you ever been there ?
  20. It's unfair because St Helens, due to it's various social and economic issues, requires that money, whereas Dorset doesn't. It's the basic concept of a social welfare system, everybody subscribes to the pot, and those that require it get access to it.
  21. If you want to divert into silly games try this one : Birmingham City Council, population 1.028 million, budget REDUCTION £105.3 million, -8.32%.
  22. Just for comparison : St Helens : 2010-2011 budget £192.4 million. Reduction for 2011-2012 £18.1 million, = -9.39% Plymouth : 2010-2011 budget £241.1 million. Reduction for 2011-2012 £10.5 million, = -4.35% Dorset CC : 2010-2011 budget £289.3 million. Increase for 2011-2012 £700,000, = +0.25%
  23. Why do Dorset get an INCREASE ? The formula used is obviously flawed, and it doesn't come across as fair, does it ?
  24. Follow this link www.communities.gov.uk/documents/localgovernment/xls/1796201.xls, download the spreadsheet and read it for yourself. What is happening is that all the core social welfare budgets are being squeezed, so areas with high unemployment, low adult literacy, high immigration, poor quality housing, large numbers of HMOs, and/or poor health data will be hit hardest.
