To fix this you will need an installation disc, ANY installation disc, as long as it does not say VISTA anywhere on it; ( a LINUX variety for preference, though Win7 or WinXP, or even SOLARIS will do ). Power on the PC, insert the CD, and follow the installation instructions, paying particular attention to the bit that says "are you sure you want to overwrite the existing operating system ?". The problem will be solved in about 10 minutes.

How much attention do you pay to what is posted ? I live in the bloody countryside, I spend my leisure time in the countryside, and I am extremely concerned about animal welfare, whether it be domesticated, like my rabbits, hens, dogs, cats, and ponies, or wildlife. Hunting is an extremely INEFFICIENT method of controlling fox populations, ( where I live there is no local hunt, and we are not overrun with vulpine invaders ), and if the 'thrill of the chase' is what you are after you can drag hunt. All this activity now provides is a form of snobbish exclusivity, where the majority of participants are nouveaus who work as solicitors, architects, etc, and are looking for a way to prove their escape from merely being part of the hoi-polloi.

There are oh so many questions that you avoid ! As for foxes, it depends on whether you conside them vermin requiring 'control', which I do not, ( and please take into account I live in a very rural area, and keep rabbits and chickens ). If I were to feel the need I would rather trap them and move them, but if killing was necessary, shooting them is the most humane way. On the subject of effective control of foxes, how many avoid the kill ? Do you believe badgers spread bovine TB and should be gassed ? IMO another foolish and misguided injustice.
