To be fair last season Liverpool actually rejuvenated the league. They went from finish of 7th to title contenders and ultimately 2nd. The English media is talking them up because of this and suddenly every fan in the country seems to talk as if Liverpool have been title contenders for years. Never say never in football. Everything goes right for another top 10 team and they could do it too, such is the level of players that every prem club can now pull in from abroad with the money floating around in this league. I believe the standard will level out. Chelsea can continue to throw money at recognised superstars, but there are also lots of superstars in waiting who can now be purchased off of other clubs in other countries and leagues and given opportunity to express themselves. Look how many great players there are in the World Cup, the Chelsea and Man City's cannot buy and play them all.

This. Osvaldo is so out of form and he is letting his personal life and issues surrounding it to get in the way of his job. Sort it out and he could be great but at the moment nothings going right for him and he obviously struggles to get out of that mental cycle.

Don't know, I didn't say it was rational and yes it is very conspiratorial. I've just got this nagging feeling about Roy and team selections that I can't shake. It tells me that Roy isn't always picking what he genuinely believes to be the best team. He let's other things get in the way, whether that be other people telling him what to do, ego's of players, wanting to butt up against the media, a bias towards Liverpool. It's instinct and I can't put my finger on it but something doesn't feel right.

Cynical Prediction: Lallana will start a game for England (if we are still in it) only when the papers begin reporting the deal to Liverpool is all but done again.

I wouldn't put any emphasis whatsoever on a video showing a keeper stopping shots. Any keeper at any level could have a video put together like this. What is far more telling is when a keeper fails to make a save and the manner in which they let them in. E.G Kelvin would have a fantastic keeping video full of dramatic saves, but sadly in truth he is a bit of a liability on his near post when up against the best teams.

hmm with our imminent new manager I've had a chance to do some research and after a lot of thought I've come to the conclusion we should consider adding to our squad with at least all of these chaps. Cillessen, Janmaat, Vlaar, De Vrij Martins Indi, Blind, De Guzman, Sneijder, De Jong, Van Persie Jeremain Lens Robben If we don't sign at least these players then It will be blindingly obvious that the new board has no ambition at all and thinks we are a bunch of mugs.
