At this point who the **** would want to come anyway. Moral is at an incredible low, two of the longest serving players have jumped ship one with bad blood left between fans and club. The manager dived out the door, more players are threatening to strike in their determination to get out. If you were a top player and Southampton offered you a contract at this point and told you they were ambitious and wanted Europe would you shake on it? I'd be thinking there is something seriously wrong behind the scenes. I think I'd wait and see what happens maybe re-consider it in January, of course as we all know if we don't get signatures by then, we will be ****ed.

The most galling part of this transfer saga for me is that a professional footballer being paid lots of money by SFC for the last 14 years was wearing our shirt and captaining the club during the run in of last season to achieve our best ever points and possibly even higher. I like to think that a professional man would be focused on his job and not secretly bashing one out over a competitor. In Lallanas own words he stopped caring about Saints and doing the job he was paid to before the end of last season.

Are there any good players who would want to come to a club that is clearly selling large portions of its talent, and being laughed at and written off in equal measure by the press... this is what concerns me. 3 out the door before even one in may not have been the best idea.

Oh yeah I know it wouldn't happen in a million years. I worry that anyone really good is not going to want to come to us when every other fecker is trying to get out. Still bring on the next season. Even with 10 kids parked behind the ball, theres always the chance we can get a 1-0 against team, bring it on.

Liverpool finished the season before in 7th. Newcastle and Leeds are a wee bit bigger than us too but no one is expecting them to win the league. Liverpool hype and propaganda is in full spin. We will see what the new season brings for them. I personally don't think they will get a look in and am feeling probably overly optimistic that we will be competing with them for placement in the table. We complained about our attack because it wasn't good enough for top 6, Liverpool have just bought it from us. Now we have the 'opportunity' to upgrade nearly our entire attack, lets see if the board take it.

Whatever happens there will be some who will argue it is a good thing for the club and some who will say it's been badly handled and we look stupid as a club. Either way we aren't all going to agree as it's just not great both ways. I personally hope that Adam stays but only if he wants to, and if he goes we make an attempt to sign someone considered to be better than Adam. Not sure selling is going to present a tougher message, not sure keeping him and playing him is going to send a tough message to the players either.

Koeman wants to keep him as Shaw is perfect for the system Koeman wants to play with us, but he has said that if Van Gaal (whom he dislikes) wants to buy Shaw then he can pay us well over the odds. That would allow Koeman to go in for Blinds or similar offset wages or similar and possibly still come back with quite a bit of change. If not then great, the lads value is only likely to go up.

lol no. Fair point, I am on a bit of a roll with the conspiracy ****. Think it's because I just cannot see the logic in most of the decisions being made so am finding outlandish excuses for it rather than simple incompetence.

the more i think about the happier I am that Saints players weren't massively involved in that dross. It could knock the confidence of those players who were.
