I'm sure it was last week sometime & also fairly sure he followed Spurs at the same time.

a copy of the "snippets of info" from https://twitter.com/TheFalseLibero Bumped into club source today who gave me the following snippets that I will share over the next couple of tweets. #saintsfc Firstly, what he told me about Poch staying was correct, MP did tell club he intended to sign contract. Club feel betrayed #saintsfc The new manager will be given "lots of money to spend" regardless of who we do or don't sell. #saintsfc He expects some players to leave "definitely" and he mentioned two figures both between £25-30m, but not an exodus #saintsfc When I passed on someone else's thoughts on Cortese's absence in Lambert's open letter he said "all I will say is the letter... #saintsfc ......went through the club so parts would've been removed." Club wishes him all the best, but only him.....#saintsfc Regarding other potential player sales, "no player is bigger than the club" and the Lambert left on great terms, others won't (emotionally) Urged not to worry at all, "club is in its best position ever" there's money to spend without selling but all will be added #saintsfc When suggested it may seem to fans club is asset stripping ahead of a sale he was certain it couldn't be further from truth #saintsfc I didn't ask regarding a new manager as I was so buoyed about what he had been saying. I now expect only Shaw and Lallana to leave #saintsfc His last words were: don't read The Daily Echo don't read anyone from Mirror and don't read The Daily Mail as they're clueless #saintsfc Oh and my last tweet, McClaren is no longer on managerial short list #saintsfc Following on from earlier tweets...he also said "we are only selling what we don't need" so may be other departures.....#saintsfc ......but they'll be made with better replacements in mind already or we won't care that they're off #saintsfc

its a bit concerning that Sean Dyche is still up there! Would hardly be the big name we would want..

Totally agree. I think even neutral fans can see something isn't quite right with what is occurring towards our club. Strange.

I've tried to remain impartial to all the media hype at the moment & currently its hard to decipher whats fact & whats fiction. To the normal fan it feels like "happy hour" at the media predicted meltdown & I reckon they are having a right laugh at our expense. In my opinion our own media dept are not doing their job correctly. The club needs good news & it needs it fast. Ever since the last day of the season we are no.1 targets for the press & like it or not, this will effect all areas of the club. Our own Daily Echo are not helping us out either with stories like "ex Brighton boss on radar" - seriously?! If there is a big grand master plan going on in the background with players reportadly wanting to come here then we need to start dealing. For once why isn't it us nicking other players from other clubs? If you analyse the media attack on Saints you can clearly see it is has been deliberatly targeted & is constant. They are blatantly ignoring any of the messages from the board with regard to players. Right now, our media team need to up their game. Please note, this isn't a wish for daily/hourly updates from the club but anyone can see we need a break & we need it soon. I expect better from a Top 8 club whose apparent aspirations are Europe. I'll trust the board for now but for me, the person they appoint a manager will be the best indicator yet.

Batman - Many thanks for taking time to do a quick write up - much appreciated.

I though RK on SSN interview was solid & came across well. Didn't add to the hysteria or feed the various ego's of "being disappointed" Quite the opposite it seemed & came across to fit in well with the perceived structure that we can remove/replace any part of the structure without it toppling like a house of cards. IMO the true test for RK will be who exactly we bring in as next manager. If we employ any of the recently sacked PL managers like Hughton or Mackay then I'm sure he will feel the full wrath of the fans. For that reason I believe they will head to Europe or beyond for the appointment.

What Clubs / Players Have Survived The Big Four Approaches
FloatingbridgeSaint replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
I'm assuming we are referring to the "modern" era of the premier league? If not then i guess we could include people like Alan Shearer, MLT, Paul Gascoigne & Darren Anderton. -
? to utd Moyes to Spuds Mopo to stay at saints

I've used the hospitality boxes over the past two seasons on a few occasions. I wouldn't say they are prohibitively expensive on a per game basis however the service to the boxes is truly awful. On a number of occasion we have ordered drinks at half time, which then arrive just in time for the start of the 2nd half for which you have to be out of the room & back into your seats! Cant fault the seat or the ease of getting to the box etc however the service needs to be improved dramatically. I have also made this feedback to the club so they are aware.

Just rewatched the video again - this time I'm even more sure of the punch to the back first - look at the refs reaction - he is reaching for his pocket & has his finger up before the swinging arm is even in full motion or makes contact.
-
Just watched the video of the incident - something that hasn't been mentioned yet & I could just be seeing things but as flores goes over carroll watch carrells right arm. to me it looks like he punches flores in the back which in the video we are obstructed by the ref from seeing if it is or isnt however if so, then this was in direct view of the ref & therefore if i saw it correctly then the swinging arm afterwards would have more consequence.

I didn't think Wet spam could take him on loan - haven't they reached their squad limit with those 2 new signings from italy? - Also if those 2 signings hit the ground running in the PL i guess that will debunk the whole "needing time to adapt to PL" excuse? Hopefully they will turn out to be a load of old rubbish for BFS..

100% agree.

This was the instagram account it came from - http://www.instagram.com/danistone25 although the jury is still out whether it is a fake account or not? Surely if it was a fake account then he would have reported it especially with the high level of personal pictures on there? And it really isn't difficult to get it suspended either via the "report user" button. also, it is linked to his twitter account. Just click on the picture of the Southampton background to read the apology note.

A lesson in embarrassing hyperbole
FloatingbridgeSaint replied to Unbelievable Jeff's topic in The Saints
Thanks Jeff, I read the article & thought pretty much the same thing. I think it is disgusting the way a lot of people are turning on our owner no matter what their own thoughts are. If the Daily Mail is having its strings pulled by NC still, as suggested before then my respect for the man is rapidly diminishing.I don't think thats his style though & prefer to think of it as papers trying to stir up news in what is a very quiet transfer window. As soon as the next big transfer is announced then we will be old news. Wishful thinking but wouldn't it be great if that next big singing was actually us! Can't see it though & my personal opinion is that we are in for a dull 2nd half of the season whilst all around steady the ship. The reality is that there is no simple answer on who's side to take - yes we are led to believe it was NC's vision but ultimately it wasn't his money. I'll remain on the sidelines until the clouds have gone but i'll always support Saints no matter what or whom owns us. -
I don't think we will see any transfers out during the January window. It would be a great statement of intent for KL to come out & say a resounding no to any transfers out whilst we search for a new CEO. This hopefully will produce a stabilising period for us & see us through to the summer when a lot of things will become a lot clearer. For what its worth it really doesn't sound like KL is wanting to sell looking at the press release & once a new chairman is in place I'm presuming she will return to a more "back seat" role as before? I'm just glad we are only 10pts ish from safety at this stage of the season!

but isn't the issue broken agreements so by resolving & putting in place another 2-3 year agreement just like kicking the proverbial tin can down the alley?
-
I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the players have one eye on getting to the Carling Cup Final as they have the 2nd leg to play a few days later. i'm going for a 3nil win for us.

They replayed the incident on the live stream last night. A few of the players were kicking off after the dodgy foul on Luke Shaw which saw him flying into the air "superman" style. From the resulting free kick, Dani was running backwards at a fairly fast pace when a villa player deliberately ran into him shoulder first. If you watch the replay the force of the "barge" in the back flung Dani's head back quite a bit which then sparked off the yellow. To be fair to Dani, at first he was quite reasonable about it but when for some reason it seemed to flare up so guessing there was a bit of bobbing off from a villa player. Also, to be fair to Dani, given the nature of the barge I'm surprised he didn't punch the guy - i know i probably would have done!

Dont forget the "black chrysler parked outside SMS" malarkey -
Now I see this, is does actually make some kind of sense & even more of a non story. Man Utd PO have tweeted asking followers who they would like to see signed this summer & it appears Luke has gone to reply at some point thus putting in the @manutd_PO at the start of the message to reply & either thought better of it or just didn't bother, puts phone in pocket, accidentally hits send & voila... On a slightly separate note - i thought Saints players had some form of social media code of conduct or indeed maybe just an of the field code of conduct so if this is the case then I reckon LS might be getting a tap on the shoulder at some point...
-
tbh, i'd be more concerned with the bloke who supposedly caught him out - looking at his twitter pic establishing Luke's tweet, the dora the explorer tweet is a little bit more worrying!

Just watched that Bueno youtube video.. is it me or does he seem to fall over a lot? Obviously a lot of those falls were courtesy of fouls & at the speed he's running i'm not surprised!
