That's a bit unfair. Each manager has his quirks, but 'vastly different' would be Pulis vs Guardiola vs Conte. We can't expect total uniformity because any decent manager wants to have input on how the team plays, but they all have a passing style and (basic) formation in common. ...and all the best players would move abroad.
-
It can be both.
-
Except for, er, most if not all of the Championship teams and a fair few Premier League ones too. We can debate his role in a team aiming for Europe but don't be ridiculous.
-
Is he a worse manager for taking a big payday, though?
-
We can't let it become received wisdom that this was the consensus, though. There were a lot of people warning that it wouldn't be enough. I can't remember whether I was one of them, to be fair
-
Don't be silly.

Of all the Mendes clients likely to make a move to China, I expect Fonte is near the bottom of the list
-
Nope, but they can make it. Give it 100 years.

I'm with you, notwithstanding the safety bit, but don't think it would recreate the atmosphere of the Dell. That was a small, tight ground of a dying breed.

They are going to eat into the market more and more and are likely to dominate if it's sustained for long enough. But if all the best players go there, that is likely to include Englishmen. We'd all like to see more British players in the top flight but ultimately most people, myself included, want to see high quality football, so I wouldn't crack out the champagne.

He'll be pleased to get on the pitch more, and I'll be pleased to see him play. If he fulfils his talent he'll be a lot more important to that team than any fullback could be for us.

When Adam heard rugby players were earning bigger wages than some footballers, he knew he had to get practising.

Fans aren't a hive mind. One set of idiots singing a nasty chant doesn't justify or lessen the impact of anyone else doing the same.
-
See, it's funny you mention that. I heard the Chinese investors had a big bust-up in the dressing room because they refused to play alongside Krueger, who's become a bit of an ego since winning the Euros with Portugal.
-
Congratulations to him. Hope he does well, so long as it's not at our expense!
-
Family reasons.

That's the attitude of football fans, not Liverpool fans especially. 'Never your fault' is a nasty little chant with knowing rings of Hillsborough.

I sit in block 37 but overheard the 'lazy ****' guy in the queue for the loo, so might be the same guy. Similar stuff from people sat near me though, same people who moaned about Pelle, Mane et al and whine like little children if there isn't a crunching tackle or a goal right nowwwwwww!

Probably. People are utterly, utterly mad. Liebherr won't sell to asset strippers. If she would countenance the idea she'd have sold already, I expect. That doesn't mean we should welcome a sale with open arms, but all indications are that we're checking out buyers pretty carefully.

They were, though Puel might get an hour or so out of them then rest them for Norwich. Agree that Rodriguez is growing into the team, hope he starts again here.
-
Couldn't believe the abuse he was getting near me last night for what was a really good performance. One fella calling him a "lazy ****", which frankly beggars belief.
-
To be fair, I think we all expect that. Can't imagine they'll be that toothless again.

You'll have to excuse me for ignoring the doom laden predictions for the second leg from all the people who didn't give us a hope in this game. We're more than capable of going through. This was the sort of really good, disciplined performance that could see it happen. Have to regret the missed chances but they rarely looked like scoring. Romeu man of the match followed by Yoshida. Redmond was really lively in the first half and parts of the second, making stuff happen but getting nervy when it came to the big moments...except for the goal of course!

Whoever fixed Vardy's goal against Liverpool deserves a pint.
