  1. If you can't beat Forster, join Forster.
  2. We don't leave most transfers to the last hours. In fact, almost all our signings are done in good time.
  3. If you were angry at Pochettino for his selection at Sunderland, you can't make excuses for this.
  4. Assume this game is punishment for the fans who only bought tickets to get to Wembley...
  5. Plural! Gotta love it. I try not to spend time analysing Sunderland's defence but given they've been awful for years it wouldn't surprise me if Van Aanholt could do better with proper coaching from an Allardyce type.
  6. Feel this absolutely bonkers post went unnoticed.
  7. Which you are when you purchase Southampton Football Club
  8. Anfield hangover might be an issue, but if we're fresh physically and Arsenal aren't at full tilt then we can take the game to them. Expect Hojbjerg to come in for Ward-Prowse and Long for Rodriguez.

    Yellows!

It would be good to make half of Wembley yellow but I'm not that fussed.
  10. Only detail I didn't know from there is that we'd tracked Romeu since he was 19.
  11. Be amazed if they don't approach the final with a little more motivation than last night. But they're definitely beatable.
  12. Yesterday also showed that it's much, much easier to do when you've got them on the break. We've often been too slow to transition into attack this year, giving the opposition a chance to regroup, but when they've got 10 behind the ball Redmond can't really go and run direct.

  14. Agreed. The worst is Old Trafford because that ground is deadly quiet for our games but sounds incredible when they're all roaring.
  15. Inconsistency is his problem, which is understandable and partly down to him being (I expect) the most rotated player in our squad. He's shown his frustration at being subbed off before.
  16. Really frustrating that I've inadvertently bought a couple of cup tickets in my dad's name rather than mine this season, which knocks my eligibility. I'm on membership with six homes to my name and am reluctant to drop £37 on a West Ham ticket unless I'll absolutely need it, because I can't go to West Ham or sell the ticket. Thoughts?
  17. In my experience most Liverpool fans - especially those from the city - are fair minded and friendly. You only get problems with the types from around the country who might just as easily have supported Utd, Arsenal or whoever.
  18. It might be cheaper to invest in time travel research, go back to the summer and get a season ticket.
  19. SaintRobbie's a troll, guys. Ignore him.
  20. It can be a stake and a takeover at the same time, guys.
  21. He was really unlucky not to get an assist or two last night, lots of good work going down the wing. Credit to him for staying on his feet before the Tadic chance as well, thought as it happened that he could have gone down and got a pen.
  22. From the same Bloomberg reporter: "Lander said deal with Katherine Liebherr signed and now conducting due diligence on Saints parent company St Mary's Football Group" Here we go...
  23. It's satisfying to do one over Liverpool, of course, but let's not pretend as some have that they'll regret their moves. They made two finals last season, including this one.
  24. That would be a massive coup, but if Utd do go for it I expect they'd send him abroad.
  25. I absolutely did. Added to the sense of total bewilderment!
