He can't play until Old Trafford. Tough selection this one - Long's a banker to start but as fans we can't really judge the boys' fitness so not sure who we'd rest.
-
That's probably right, but only while Sanchez was on the pitch.
-
No chance considering there was a 3-3, a 3-2 and a 2-2 today. Glad to get the Arsenal monkey off our backs - we were seriously unlucky not to win our other two home games against them since we came back up. With their injuries I expected to be the better team and we were. Another comprehensive group performance with great understanding and killer instinct to make chances, though we wasted a lot of them and had to rely on Arsenal mistakes. Ward-Prowse's performance in front of goal was really disappointing. The lad can't finish, I hope he's working on it. Wanyama man of the match by a mile.

Surely there were better moments for the fans of Southampton football club?
-
For me it's between signing Ronald Koeman, which made me believe we'd be okay after the summer, and the win at the Emirates, which confirmed it.
-
I can only remember a handful of games since promotion where we've got all the stands going, and they were all in our first season back. The 3-1 win over Liverpool was particularly good
-
How many players described as wonderkids have actually gone on to be successful? Well under half I'd imagine...and most of them played for us.
-
We really should have bought Ronaldo. Everyone knew he looked good at Sporting Lisbon.

You don't have to be swept off your feet to be impeded. Going down is a way of indicating to the referee that you've been fouled...whether you actually have or not. It's also a way of accepting a free kick instead of advantage, which is almost always given now if a player stays on his feet and keeps the ball. Mourinho is just putting pressure on referees, same as a lot of coaches do when they moan about diving. None of them really believe their club has it worse than others unless it's a big club/home advantage thing.

We're half way through the season. We are literally playing every team again.

Seems a nice bloke. -
Containing Sanchez is the key. If we can do that without opening huge gaps in midfield we'll do okay.
-
You can see the natural order slowly crystallising at the top of the table now, but get a result against Arsenal and we've got a great chance of keeping them at bay through the next run of fixtures
-
Rode our luck throughout that game but always looked strongest when push came to shove defensively We'll miss Morgan against Arsenal.
-
Wise to take off Yoshida here - Chelsea are very good at drawing fouls from defenders under pressure. Cracking performance from Maya considering he was out of position
-
He's partially on his way down I suppose but the leg is no doubt impeding him How did we let Hazard have that kind of space in the box?
-
It was the wrong decision - stonewall pen
-
Tadic had to do better there, but we're building well.
-
Timing's the sucker more than anything. Chelsea will come out raring to go so we've got to nullify that and ensure we can stay on top of Mikel and Matic
-
God, Chelsea are good. We're defending really well but they're still finding little cracks. Wanyama unusually quiet so far
-
Buzzed for this. I haven't felt this up against it since our first season back but if we can control spells of the game and take a chance when it comes we have every chance
-
We've lost to Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs already and are still ahead of them. Nothing is decided solely by head-to-heads and nothing is decided in January. Anyway, didn't you already declare our top six chances over? Almost as if you're doing it for a rise...

Link? Fonte's posted this photo but it only looks like a stud cut, certainly no bone visible:

Christmas is a quiet time of year on the football pages? I think Liverpool put Adam forward because he's well spoken and has a more interesting story than most Liverpool players - jumping ship etc.
