Sorry, do you really think Labour are offering more election sweeteners than the Conservatives? More than £7bn in unfunded tax cuts, right to buy for housing association properties, increase in inheritance tax threshold?
-
What about 'our ground's too big for you'?
-
Personally I think it's quite exciting that, for the first time in years, we now get penalties and I don't know whether we're going to score.
-
Poor as Pelle's been recently, this is not the game to drop him. Wouldn't be against starting Long on the left though, like he was earlier in the season.
-
Sometimes I wish somebody else had scored those derby goals so we wouldn't still be talking about him.
-
We could have put Kelvin up front and beaten Sunderland that day
-
Yes, and I'm not sure I can remember him 'wellying' a goal either. I don't think the Stoke away curler counts, nor the overhead kick. Composure's been a problem for everyone recently, though
-
Which is more likely - that Pelle will regain his form against some of the Premier League's lesser teams over the next few games, or a player will come into a new team/league and immediately start scoring goals for fun? It may be true that we need another option on the bench to play alone up front but that doesn't mean we have to panic and do it right now, even if we could.

He's not getting anything like enough support. How Koeman expected him to cope against three centre halves on his own I don't know.
-
Spurs. Setting aside the Pochettino business, a win against them has been a long time coming and we've been incredibly hard done-by in all but a few of our games against them since we came back up.

You're a real dreamer!
-
Mane's got his back to goal, and there's a defender a yard or so away. Still a fair bit of work to be done before it's a tap-in
-
Some good balls going into the box - it's the second it gets in there that everyone panics

Here's Djuricic

Indeed you should. But you only are because the government props up pitifully low wages. Even the Conservative prime minister is calling on employers to raise their pay - not the words of a free marketeer.

Perhaps Jay Rodrigeuz for Harry Kane might have been a good swop.

He's not quite the hype striker who seems to score 20 goals by accident then return to mediocrity. His ability and versatility shine through every time he's near the play -
A central midfielder would be bonkers to take on a man because if he cocks it up the opposition are through on the back four. Talk about pressure on the defence! It's a very special talent which only a few CMs have. Toure is the one who springs to mind in the PL - Ross Barkley if you're including the guys who play further forward.
-
Elia and Mane beat defenders practically every time they got the ball out wide. I couldn't disagree with this any more, especially not on Davis. Their job is to circulate and keep possession but Davis does it with a far higher attacking workrate than any of our other midfielders. He's the only player in our team that really bridges the gap in front of the holding two, which we always notice when he's gone. Their intent is usually to pass because that's what they're good at - and there are three players in front of them who take on more shooting for the team - but they do take long shots when the openings are there. The issue is they're not very good at them. Regardless, they have both put in some great assists this season and played key roles in our attacking.

I assumed you were joking!

Rickie's staying, according to a handful of reporters tweeting at once - looks like the club sent out a round robin email or something. I can't believe how badly his Liverpool career has gone. If he can't get a game with the main striker injured and the second big signing up front failing miserably, what on earth changed in Rodgers' plans?
-
He's played as a lone striker all season - bar two games where he played with Long in a pair - and we're third in the table. It's working better than anything else we've done in our history.
-
It's worth remembering that Steve Bruce was on our shortlist to replace Pochettino.
-
He'll start comfortably, they're short in that area.
