  1. Maybe not pressing for you Thorpe Le Saint but not to those who live there or those and there relatives that fought and maybe died there to preserve the freedom of a people to live how they want to it is pretty important. To not show them respect is stunningly breath taking arrogance. Is it patronising to point out that you should do you back ground reading before you start discussing and expressing strong opinions on a topic that is close to some peoples hearts and not yours. Isn't it a pseudo intellectual who pretends to know a lot about an issue when he has not read up on his facts. I will opt out of being rude to you.
  2. Who governs the Falklands should be a matter for its population. That is a basic human right. Being from the South many have connections to people who risked or even lost their lives for that principle. It would be a betrayal of them and the Islanders themselves.
  3. I prefer this rant in the European Parliament
  4. We should run with this and demand that we are reinstated. If they broke the rules then at best we get a replay.
  5. So then Thorpe Le Saint how many Argentinian settlers have ever lived on the Falklands? Surely have inhabited the islands for the longest the Islanders have the right to determine THEIR ISLANDS. The Islands were discovered by Europeans not Argies. Well actually if you look at the Falklands then there are quite a lot of similarities with Hitler. We defeated a fascist military junta - the reason why Socialists like Michael Foot supported the war. Ironically Blair was against action Instead of playing around in the student union I suggest you go to the library and read your facts up.
  6. Tedious student politics devoid of an understanding of the real world and how nations work and the responsibilty a nation owes to its citizens.
  7. The right for the people of the Falkland Islands to determine who governs them is worth standing up for and defending. I assume compassionate people like Aintforever and Mao Cap propose relocating these inhabitants. Strip them of their culture, their livelihoods and their way of life held for generations so that we can allow the Argies to come and plunder the resources of the islands.
  8. I love this whole debate, the lefties are all telling people that you should expect to put up with a bit of shouting at work. The Tory lot are all now the champions of the workers; advocating a softly softly approach to the work place environment. Are people really that naive that they do not believe that there is something going on. That our unelected PM is not 'mentally unhinged' and prone to bouts of extraordinary temper outbursts at staff. Do you not think that the award winning journalist who interviewed 500 people just thought he would make it up - along with the other authors. A charity worker then speaks out and is then subjected to the full treatment from the Labour spin machine - nobody has resigned saying the allegations are not true just that she should not have said them. Do you think anyone will be sued over these allegations? The very sad thing is we will probably have Gordon some chat show again to rebuild his image - by the way did you think he cried? I couldn't see it myself.
  9. I think there is sharp and then there is razor sharp. This graph provides insight into just how sharp sharp is!! http://order-order.com/
  10. You are falling for the spin yourselves. Everybody knows what GB was like to work for because it has been coming out for some time- why do you think people call him the Prime mentalist. You have to remember that Labour have a pretty serious team again with Alistair Campbell, Mandy doing their spin again. They are doing a pretty good job at defending the indefensible in this case. Classic hatchet job on an award winning journalist and a charity worker.
  11. You are a joke or you're a joke
  12. Bridgey that story needs expanding
  13. We took a hit on the Theo money for receiving it early
  14. Peter Storrie who at one point found his position untenable but could not quite walk away from his massive salary. Maybe you should ask yourself why Pompey is in the sh*t, after all you oversaw it all, instead of smearing Saints fans. As for this 'saving Pompey' balls; you are not Batman more like the Joker.
  15. That picture for me really makes me want Pompey to survive and just get relegated. We need occasions like today. The ****** with the bell is OK.
  16. Thasnks a million
  17. Can anyone help - I am in Denmark and cannot find a venue to watch. Can I watch the game on the internet. I could not get the ITV to work!
  18. I shared a cab with Lawrie a few years back. The driver was a Spurs fan but his old man was a Saints season ticket holder. The driver could not believe his good fortune and although we were late Lawrie told him to ring his old man and he would have a word. Sadly his old man was out so when we arrived Lawrie took the number and promised he would ring him the next day. Every club needs legends. He is ours.
  19. The old dear still bashes out songs on the piano although she now gets some support from somebody who looks like he sang with the Wurzels. Her old man had the pub before her and she can remember the yanks drinking in there and giving out sweets. It is now a Fullers pub. The ploughmans remains on the menu
  20. **** fans no club
  21. Zenith Data Cup Final we took 35,000 I think
  22. Hamster the taxi drivers are asking purely to be treated by the current rules . You may disagree with the rules but they are the rules; the rules Hamster were not made for you exclusively. You clearly advocate that these poor guys who barely scrape a living are now declared racist and are deprived of their living. We could perhaps have a show trial of all those publicly reported. Maybe you should spend a year making a living as a taxi driver and understand the pressures that they have - I would bet money they make the same money that they made five years ago. Maybe you would be a bit more Watt Tyler if you were in their Vauxhall.
  23. Hamster you are missing the point totally. It is sinister that these taxi drivers that 'dare' speak out are labelled as 'racist' and people are told to report them. It is you that are pre judging the taxi drivers who speak out; assuming racism. Are they not just wanting council rules to be upheld? Do you endorse the council and want to take their right to make a living away from them when they question the fact the rules are being ignored. You either have rules or you do not. Argue with the rules not the taxi drivers that have the stickers.
  24. Any discrimantion is unsavoury and here is an example of the apparent rule on a requirement for taxi drivers to speak English not being enforced. The taxi drivers are the victim of discrimination because the council has chosen to not only uphold their own rules but to punish those that have brought the violation of this rule to their attention. Instead of announcing a crackdown on those that break this regulation they choose to make accusations at those who feel aggrieved that they are ignoring their own regulation. As usual the hysterical PC lobby who cry racism at any opportunity, usually, rather patronisingly on behalf of others, have stirred up genuine resentment that may manifest itself in the real and unpleasant form of racism. What is particularly despicable of the council is the call for people to report incidents of stickers being used; this strikes me as a throw back to the days of East Germany. Racism is best tackled when issues like this are seen to be tackled fairly.
  25. It must have been a late goal - the Beeb website had already added a point on for Pompey.
