  1. Really proud. Southampton through and through
  2. I would agree with the points above but the danger is when people interpret the rules so they persecute those with a strong faith.
  3. I know somebody who is quite involved in charity work for one reason or another. When Matty was top of his game in the mid ninties he approached him to get involved in an event he was organising to raise its profile. He explained that he was booked in to play golf that day but no he would cancel it and come and do the event. That for me shows the sort of calibre of the guy he is. It also illustrates how important the Saints community is to him. He was also genius on the pitch who money could not buy; we watched a team with the best player in Europe in it and there was nothing the other clubs could do. A legend who should be respected.
  4. Its not about upsetting the wrong people its about encouraging the right people who create wealth by using the tax system to incentivise. Your Mugabe thinking has worked so well in Zimbabwe; would you bring your land tax in this year after one of the worst harvests for years and years?
  5. I took Champagne in with me to the hospital. Thought we would both want a drink.
  6. Give up booze now in case you have to drive to the hospital in the middle of the night.
  7. Good luck Dr Who must have been pretty depressing
  8. You seem to forget that Hampshire were playing in the final of the 2020. We probably took 10,000 fans up there if not more. Most of them would be Saints
  9. Spring would be a good time. You should venture out of Stockholm for a couple of days.
  10. I know Stockholm very well. It is a very different experience and although expensive, it is not that much more than London. The food is very good even if your beer will be very expensive. I always stay at the Queens Hotel in Drottninggaten http://www.queenshotel.se/ because it is good value and right in the middle of town. To be honest Tim's hotel looks much classier but is probably more expensive. I would visit in the Summer because the winter is dark.
  11. That is a fascinating story. In fairness I was merely trying to use the Ouija board as something that cannot be explained by science in the same way that people's religious experience cannot. People who have been to Auchswitz tell me the silence is bizarre, now science cannot explain that. Anyway I still cannot find an explanation for my ouja board experiences not through being evasive or flippant.
  12. I think I will retire from the discussion. I hope your mate has a good dentist.
  13. I don't as it happens to often but I have replied now!
  14. Firstly in this mini debate you ignore the fact that there is sometimes no commercial transaction. Secondly I was using a ouija board to illustrate that you are using science to argue the existance or non existance of God whilst ignoring the spiritual side of religion which cannot be measured. People get some spiritual satisfaction out of religion and I do not think you address this or what causes it. The Oiuja board is a side show.
  15. Well you need more than two people.
  16. When we used to do it you used your little finger on a glass.
  17. As an aside my Great Grandfather was a vicar and lost his faith when he lost my great Aunt. He got quite involved with spiritualism and was involved with Arthur Conan Doyle. This was certainly not finacially driven. As for the Ouiija boards I would agree it could be in your subconscious but why then do you need more than two people to operate it. I am not sure you are qualified to argue about it if you have never done it.
  18. If you took the time to read my posts, I was pointing out that Frank was refering constantly to science to base his suggestion that God did not exist. I was pointing out that you cannot discount the spiritual side of religion just because it cannot be measured it is obviously a factor. To use an extreme why do you not look up the Toronto blessing.
  19. You miss the point Frank. Science cannot disprove Ouija boards but something definately happens when you do one.
  20. Well its better than you have produced.
  21. On a clear night Frank, look up into the sky and tell me that we know what the hell is out there.
  22. Its not fifteen to one Frank. If you ever do a Ouija board you will see that it undoubtedly works and as far as I can see there is no evidence as to why it works. I used to find the process rather spooky.
