  1. No I am saying that the met office have access to all the data; more so than the experts on here! Why did they not forecast this weather. I would not have lambed my sheep early if I had known. I also know that our winters have been getting increasingly cold because I have to feed my sheep more and give them water. Do you know more than the met office?
  2. Well why then did we get told that we would have a mild winter? Did they choose to ignore this?
  3. Verbal jump off your high horse and let us know why the met office never told us to expect this cold spell. Do they not have access to the best science available? Frankly if they do not know then posters on this forum cannot really have a clue.
  4. This is absurd. Extreme weather has been around since Noah built his ark.
  5. I admire you but having just checked Met check; our weather is bizarrely cold. Now the met office forecasted a mild winter (again) do they not have access to this global warming science. Others have said that some have said that this cold spell was to be expected but this was not mainstream. A few years ago, we did have bizarrely warm winters now we do not. As somebody with livestock and a pubowner I have been hit hard. I am particularly bitter because I have just lost the chickens I bred in the summer to a hungry fox. Out of interest I have just found the fox asleep in my henhouse nestbox with the three remaining chickens!
  6. I think that the ozone layer just repaired itself without intervention. Try and think out of the box. Population is the real problem. Any ideas?
  7. Possibly a moron but it is with the same fanatical fervour we were told about the ozone layer - and that we were about to enter a new ice age thirty odd years ago. If we want to be green we should sort out population and fish stocks. Green energy is also great.
  8. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2010/09/100906085152.htm Not as quick as the merchants of doom suggested. Please discredit this if you would like.
  9. Yes we stopped using deoderant for that one! I am excitedly looking forward to the explanations on this one? Was it the same scientists that said we were about to go into another ice age?
  10. I would have more respect for the global warming merchants of doom if they forecasted more accurately. It is simply not good enough to predict one thing and then when the opposite happens say well this is because of this and that.
  11. Well three lions was the 'general' of the Charlton scrap.
  12. Few admits he was actually correct.
  13. What a sad attitude. Thatcher gave more people the chance to get on in life with hard work than anybody - equality of opportunity. Good for them and good for Britain. The left ruling classes just feather their own nests without creating any wealth for the country. You just like to keep everyone down with you. Move to North Korea.
  14. I think that what Maggie did to the coal mining communities was bordering on being a social crime. That said the real enemy of the miners were the unions who made the industry uncompetitive and thus unviable. They also did not help their cause by being so confrontational. Why did Thatcher however not do more to help these communities.
  15. Do we not deserve an update from the experts on why we have had several bitterly cold winters?
  16. I am not in agreement with the student argument and the despicable behaviour of the minority of probably non students. I can however vouch from personal experience of demonstrating that the met police as a culture are unpleasant violent thugs who thrive on a scrap. They lie at even the highest level to cover themselves and all of those that complained to the IPC at the behaviour of the officers, were then arrested despite the fact that they are supposed to be independent. I remember just thinking how wrong I was about the miners when Maggie sent the Met up North to deal with the pickets.
  17. If you had two islands, one full of socialists and one full of tories, the tory island would be an engine of innovation and wealth creation. The socialist island would be full of people who finish work at five to five, have six weeks holiday and claimed sick time as a right. The Tory Island would be affluent with no debt and the socialist island would be hiring the police from the Tory Island to deal with the demonstrations from people who expect something for nothing. The Tory Island would have an immigration problem, the socialist island would be refusing to let people leave and arresting those that tried. They would restrict the media reporting on the Tory Island and arrest anybody who talked of the other way.
  18. It was the devils punch bowl on the A272

  21. Yes if there was a World Cup for investigative journalism we would beat America in the final.
  22. We should go after them now. No stone unturned until we find evidence of bribery. was it Jack Warner that grumbled that our gifts to the wives were too modest?
  23. Come work in the wealth creating sector BTF. When you work for yourself you will see that you have no rights what so ever just more and more and more red tape. Little thanks for paying for the non productive sector.
  24. and all that Bank Holiday Traffic to contend with now BTF. You will have to cancel your driving round and round plans!
