I'm pretty sure that Barcelona fiddle their attendance figures somehow. I went to a game there a couple of years ago and it was pretty much full, but the official attendance was about 30k below capacity.

Why are you so obsessed with Flybe going bust? As several of us told you last week, they only announced big profits recently.

One thing I would dispute regarding David Luker's numbers, is the assumption that revenue only consists of the ticket price. Is he seriously saying that getting more people at matches does not lead to increased food, drink, and megastore sales? I'm sure they must have done the research, and I guess the sums didn't add up, but he's portraying things in too simplistic a manner.

But in your first post you said the QA is fifteen minutes from your mums house. I wouldn't say that's far to travel. The fact that you yourself had a longer journey than that is irrelevant. It would be much more inefficient for one doctor to travel from the QA to Southsea, Waterlooville, Havant, Fareham etc than for them to come to him.

If people are able to look at more than one game at a time, then clearly yes. We aren't in the relegation zone, and our last five games have been two wins, two draws and a defeat. If we accept that our target for the season is to stay up, then you'd have to say we are on our way to achieving that goal.
