  1. Aren't they stories that Solent themselves started?
  2. Not true. Portsmouth South has been LibDem since 1997. It was largely Conservative before that. Hasn't had a Labour MP ever, since the constituency was created in 1918. Portsmouth North was Labour up to this election, but only just. It was about 8th on the list of target seats.
  3. How many positions are there in a cabinet?
  4. BBC say bags are being loaded into cars at the back of downing street.
  5. Libdems might do ok out of it, but you're right it won't do the very small parties much good. I do like the idea of a system where you still have a constituency mp, but that they must have 50+ % of people behind them.
  6. Seems a very strange way to do it. Almost like they are saying to the general public 'this is what we are doing, now be a good chap and tick the box.' Would be a bit of a waste of time if they changed the law and then had to change it back if the public voted no.
  7. Nothing wrong with a bit of wee on your hands, it's sterile anyway.
  8. I heard that Pardew was looking for a new car. He's fed up with his current Italian model and wants to go English.
  9. Wouldn't it get soggy?
  10. I was going to ask if anyone had heard of something called z.ola which I'd found on my laptop. Wondered if it was a virus. Show some imagination Trousers.....

I might start a thread about this on the technology board, maybe we can make a full set.
  12. Especially as it doesn't say anything that wasn't already on the notices. Why say to contact the supporters charter email address if they are just going to give exactly the same information?
  13. If I had a copy I don't think I'd be taking it to pieces, might be worth a few quid in the future.
  14. On the signs saying that there were no programmes Saturday there was a note to say that if you had an issue to email the supporters charter address. Has anyone tried that? Maybe it would be a way of getting some sort of explanation.
  15. Maybe the Liberals and Conservatives will form a coalition.......
  16. Although when they calculate a majority, they include Sinn Fein, who have 4 seats but don't sit in Westminster.
  17. Bournemouth went bust. West Ham are going bust. Saints went bust. Portsmouth went bust. Tottenham...........?
  18. In other news, England seem to be doing ok in the Twenty20.
  19. Portsmouth North is 0.919, 20th most marginal seat in the country.
  20. I guess the reason why individual votes are more important this time is that if there is a hung parliament there is going to be a lot of focus on how many votes each party got, not simply how many seats they gained.
  21. There's loads of voting centres per constituency. You need to make sure you go to the correct one.
  22. The Financial Times and The Economist don't share your views, and you'd think this would be their area of expertise.
  23. Ethnic Origin Many forms include a section asking for details of your ethnic origin. This section should play no part in the selection process but is included so that employers can measure the proportion of ethnic minority applicants and the success rate of their applications - these questionnaires have been approved by the Commission for Racial Equality. They are optional, though, so if you prefer not to complete this section there is no compulsion on you to do so.
  24. The UK is clearly more enlightened than France.
