  1. I guess the reason why individual votes are more important this time is that if there is a hung parliament there is going to be a lot of focus on how many votes each party got, not simply how many seats they gained.
  2. There's loads of voting centres per constituency. You need to make sure you go to the correct one.
  3. The Financial Times and The Economist don't share your views, and you'd think this would be their area of expertise.
  4. Ethnic Origin Many forms include a section asking for details of your ethnic origin. This section should play no part in the selection process but is included so that employers can measure the proportion of ethnic minority applicants and the success rate of their applications - these questionnaires have been approved by the Commission for Racial Equality. They are optional, though, so if you prefer not to complete this section there is no compulsion on you to do so.
  5. The UK is clearly more enlightened than France.
  6. I think the idea of having it on the forms is to prevent discrimination, not to encourage it.
  7. For what reason?
  8. Is this Hampshire's first home game? How is the work at the Rose Bowl coming along?
  9. Remind me, which party has ring-fenced NHS spending?
  10. Some awful scaremongering in there. First they say: But then tucked away at the bottom: The Child Tax credits cut will only impact couples earning around £50k and upwards. Hardly the poorest. Plus that will be largely negated by the reversal of the NI increase.
  11. The Financial Times and The Economist, both serious and respected publications, have come out in favour of the Conservatives. They obviously trust them to take the right decisions to get the UK back on track.
  12. Ah, my apologies. Bit of a strange starting point to you to have chosen then...
  13. Millwall have the same number of points as us since that point, we have a better goal difference. We are the 2nd best team in the league since 1st October.
  14. It's worse than that, we were still on -1 and bottom of the league at that point.
  15. It's an odd site, that one. The Ladbrokes part says LibDems will hold my seat (Portsmouth South) but the Finktank bit seems to suggest Conservatives will take it.
  16. Because we want a sponsorless shirt for our 125th anniversary.
  17. West Ham stayed up Phil, they won't be in the CCC, not next year at least.
  18. I find it funny that the socialists have such a low opinion of the public at large. Isn't that a bit contradictory?
  19. They had one in my constituency. They cleverly arranged it for yesterday evening.........
  20. Why did watching that video make me want to go and get a bargain bucket?
  21. He once wore a blue shirt a bit like a pompey top, therefore he is clearly rubbish.
  22. I have no idea why they even want to play in Europe. It's well known that to participate in the early rounds of the Europa League is loss-making for clubs, and with the quality of players they will have next season they aren't going to get very far. So you have a business in administration actively seeking to increase it's debts. Wonder what the creditors think of that.....
  23. I have mixed feelings on this. It's nice to see a smaller club do well, but Fulham have always struck me as one of the most 'false' clubs. They are the only club I've ever known who have a 'neutral' stand. It could be argued that they started the whole process of clubs being bankrolled to a position they don't deserve (since followed by Wigan, Portsmouth and others).
  24. As do the Lib Dems, while most of Labour's funding comes from the Unions who are trying to bring the country to a standstill. None of the parties are sqeaky-clean when it comes to funding.
