  1. Delighted with that result, a very comfortable win against the team top of the league, and at home too! I thought Vest, Romeu, JWP, Adams were outstanding; Bednarek, KWP, Bertrand and Ings were very good too. Armstrong didn't look 100%, Redmond did a good job bringing the ball forward from midfield but his end product was poor, needs someone challenging for his place. I will let the 'taters off the many (many, many...) 0-9 mentions today as it was a year ago exactly, but hopefully they can let it drop now? It was a freak result, happened over a year ago, and we're fifth (likely seventh by the time we next play). Everton were poor, very ordinary albeit without their best player. Vestergaard did a fantastic job of man-marking DCL, Rodriguez was by far and away the worst James on the pitch, and the petulant hacking in the second half is not going to win them any neutral fans. Bernard should have got two yellows just before Digne got himself sent off (how is anyone saying that's accidental/not a red, by the way? No chance of getting the ball, holding his hands up in innocence BEFORE standing on KWP's calf). Poor losers.
  2. Romeu looks shattered, not surprising after his performance today, he has been brilliant. N'Lundulu on for Adams.
  3. He always does this when we're winning, the only thing I find frustrating about him as a manager!
  4. Wow Everton do not like losing, lots of niggly little tackles there. Rodriguez lucky not to get a yellow there too.
  5. Yes straight red for Digne, Bernard is the guy on a yellow that somehow avoided a second one.
  6. Love how he puts his hands up protesting his innocence... two strides BEFORE stepping on the back of KWP's leg.
  7. Bernard should be off. Definite yellow if he didn't already have one.
  8. No problems with it for me when we're 2-0 up, looking fairly comfortable and they don't exactly have workhorses up top.
  9. 2-0 down and they bring on Gordon and Delph??
  10. Redmond off for Tella please Ralph.
  11. Danny Ings is just everywhere, suddenly pops up at left wing to show Redmond how it's done.
  12. Great bit of play, they weren't expecting us down the right! Get in JWP!
  13. What's your issue with Trousers? 😉

    Injury Watch

ACL injuries often take a short while for the pain to occur with swelling, players sometimes will just walk off before they know how serious it is.
  15. Sounds like van Djik has done his ACL.
  16. Awful defending from all involved. Big deflection too.
  17. Not sure how much longer I am able to think of Adams as "unlucky" rather than a poor finisher. KWP keeps coming too central and giving Chilwell too much space.
  18. A humbling Herman Cain/coronavirus timeline: 6/24: Attends Trump rally, maskless 7/2: Tests positive for Covid-19 7/10: Says he’s improving 7/15: Says his doctors seem happy 7/27: Says he’s really getting better 7/30: Dies So 28 days from positive test to death. Trump certainly not out of the woods yet. I wonder how many more people he will infect while he's still contagious and pumped full of steroids.
  19. Didn't stop Gareth last time! Expecting a fairly progressive team for the Wales game and then revert to a back 8 with Sterling, Kane and Sancho in the NL games.
  20. Can we finish this window first?! We can still buy/sell with EFL teams!
  21. Think you're allowed two, but they have to come from different clubs.
  22. Sounds like we're done. Very good window I think.
  23. Agreed, should allow JWP to get forward a bit more too - always felt Hoj was a bit too similar, they both liked going for a wander when we really need one to stay back (unless they're going to score a screamer - Romeu!).
  24. Adam Blackmore saying Walcott is on his way to Staplewood now, so basically done deal.
  25. Strange some of the negativity on here about Walcott, he's a fairly cheap short-term fix to give our medical staff something to do whilst the rest of the team are too busy "being fit", whatever that means.
